ONLY two beds- false posting
Publié le 8 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis place only sleeps 4, two in each bed. It does not sleep 5, as listed. There are TWO beds, not three. The third bed is an air mattress shoved in a closet with dead bugs on it - ok fine - but there are no pillows, no sheets, no covers for this “bed.” We needed three beds but we’re stuck with no blankets or linens for one. Host contact did not care, did not respond to our messages that night or the next morning about it.
I also did not realize that we were never sent the door code to get in. The “here are your keys to your stay” vrbo email actually just says “contact your host if you don’t have the info” when we pulled up at 8pm the host had never sent anything. Thankfully after messaging, calling, testing the host send the code.
Otherwise this place meets the basic minim.
The “free wine/water/snack” included was a laughable single person Dorito bag.

Double Booking!
Publié le 14 août 2023 sur HomeAwayQuick & easy reservation/payment 2 months before our stay; host responded quickly to my questions (although terse). Two weeks before our stay I was double-checking the address and saw that my reservation had been cancelled because of non-payment. After a call directly to VRBO, the courteous & helpful agent was able to confirm that my paid reservation was in the system. I also messaged the host to confirm my original reservation, which he quickly did.
Fast forward to the morning of check-in, I reached out to the host for check-in instructions(I knew I would be unavailable during the day & I needed to get the info to one person coming from overseas). I got a quick reply with the security code and thought we were good to go.
Unfortunately, 5 minutes from the rental I received a text stating, "I am sorry to inform you that the property got double booked for the same date you selected." He did offer to find a hotel room for two nights (we needed two hotel rooms for 3 nights).
Upon arriving at the rental, we (myself and the other couple) keyed into the rental (it was 95 & humid), tried to contact the host (he did not answer his phone) & called VRBO for help. VRBO agent was able to initiate a refund. Because of the multiple issues with this specific experience, I will avoid this host in the future.

Needs a little more attention
Publié le 29 oct. 2022 sur HomeAwayOverall, this was a nice place to stay - the location was great and the amenities in the house were all accurately described. However, there must have been an issue with the cleaning service. There was still garbage in the garbage cans from previous tenant, we found a razor top in the shower, and the sheets were still in the washer and dryer. If those had been taken care of ahead of time, it would have made for a much nicer stay.

Comfortable Clean Home

It's so nice to have the extra room, personal space, and this house did not disappoint. I was super pleased with the cleanliness and organization. The owner was available and very responsive and helpful. The welcome kit with wine and bottled water and chips is a sweet touch. Thanks for a great weekend!

VERY nice for the money
Publié le 7 juin 2022 sur HomeAwayThe listing for this property is very accurate -- the place looks just like the photos and has all of the amenities promised. (One odd exception, though: the listing of amenities includes washer/dryer, and yet the dryer had a note taped to it that read "Staff Only".)
The neighborhood is very leafy and peaceful and quiet at night.
The only reason we're not giving the property 5 stars is the beds. While not as uncomfortable as some I've slept on in my day, they were definitely not comfortable. The beds are the only reason I can't honestly say that if I were ever in Pittsburgh again, I would stay in this property again.
Still, the rest of the furniture (couch and chairs) was comfortable; the tv is huge and relatively new; and you can't beat having this much space, a kitchen, and a yard where you can sit out with your dog -- especially not for the rate charged.
