Renter was very high maintenance and a complainer about almost everything. She kept on mentioning she wanted a refund or discount during the stay. She was trying to intimidate us with a bad review if we did not give her a considerable discount. The cottage we rent out is as advertised and we are transparent to vrbo and renters. In our years of rental experience, most renters are usually fairly understanding and not self motivated for a discount. However, we have given discounts to renters in the past. In the cottage, every room has a fan and windows do open in the cottage. Cottage is an older building but is clean. The renter was complaining when she arrived, while she was there, and when she left. No refund or discount was given to the renter by us because her complaints were not justified and we have a strict refund policy. We also did not like her intimidating us with a bad review if we did not give her a considerable discount. I would not recommend this renter to any host. " The sweaky wheel doesn't always get the oil, sometimes you just need a new wheel ". Hosts beware!
