This is a nice old-school American roadside motel with the bonus of a 5.8 kW EV charger. It is local and the staff is very nice. We were happy with our stay.

I'd stay there a few times in the past and had no problems however this last time I took in an electromagnetic frequency meter and found that for whatever reason the levels were a little high around the bed I didn't stay to investigate. They're also very large spiders all over beware

Thank you for your creepy-crawly ghost hunter review. With autumn and especially Halloween drawing near, your inclination to travel with an EMF meter is spot on for the season. Your review will likely create a sensation for like-minded individuals who go everywhere with their EMF meters. Unfortunately, we feel compelled to temper that enthusiasm for all EMF meter-packing travelers with a vital confession. During our 43 years of ownership, we have never encountered other-worldly entities here and rarely does anything ever go bump in the night. Sorry to disappoint.

I travel for business. Still appreciate the value of "classic" 1960's MOTELS. All I want in a Motel is a clean room, good mattress and good shower. Love pulling up to my room to unpack. The Baker Motel has it all. Only negative is that it is 5 miles from any restaurant. I will be back.
