Terrible service

The service was very much below standard. The food took a long time to come out and 4 of us ordered at the same time with 2 meals arriving half an hour before the others. No explanation was given until afterwards. Dinner was not any better, it took an hour after ordering for the food to arrive.

Dunston Hall Hotel is a beautiful hotel, full of character and charm and the staff were welcoming, but our experience was marred by the condition of our room. Upon arrival, it was immediately clear that the room had not been properly cleaned. There was visible dust on and behind the furniture, crumbs on the carpet, and even stained skirting boards from spilt beverages. The bathroom was particularly appalling, with mouldy grout between tiles—a clear indication of neglect. In addition, the room lacked air conditioning and the fan provided was filthy and covered in dust, making it unusable. It’s unacceptable that we had to request the room be cleaned and the fan replaced, tasks that should have been handled long before our arrival. This level of carelessness is not what we expected from a hotel of Dunston Hall's caliber. The manager was apologetic and attended to our request, however our stay was impacted by these issues. The health centre facilities were nice we enjoyed the facilities.
