The best place in Norwich!

The treats, the atmosphere, the kind words on a paper, the suggestions of his favorite place, the confidence he gives us to take care of his house, the freedom he leaves us by letting us know how to enjoy everything What he has to offer in the house, it is certain that if I have to visit Norwich, this is where I come! Thank you, Mikey, you've been the best host since I have been traveling, and I travel a lot! I hope to meet you one day! Josée

Publié le 2 déc. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe home itself is very quaint but in sad need of repairs. The banister on the stairs was not solid at all. All of the dining room chairs were falling apart , I literally sat in one and fell to the floor. Reported it and have yet to hear anything back. And no where in the listing did it indicate there were stairs in the home or that all the bedrooms were upstairs as well as the only shower and I was traveling with a handicapped person. . The neighborhood was iffy at best. There were cob webs all over the house. The Harry Potter bathroom was so tiny my knees literally hit the wall and the toilet leaked. The shower walls were covered in mildew. We were to stay for 4 days and were given one towel and one washcloth each for the 4 days and no laundry in the home. We ended up leaving a day early because we were all so uncomfortable. I would never stay there again!!

The house is beautiful and the dogs loved the fenced in yard area to stretch their legs. we will rent from Mikey on our next trip to Norwich :).

Quaint Norwich home
Publié le 13 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayVery spacious old brick home. Really cute relaxing back yard. Backyard was also completely fenced in so if traveling with pets they have a little freedom as if they were home. Decorated with so many cute treasures. Close to all amenities.
Checkin process was simple everything for access was given 3 days in advance.
Host communication was great.
Really loved the fact the host had left some beverages in the fridge for you when you arrived, especially after a few hour trip.
Home has everything to cook there, so no need for take out. Especially if you are one to cook.
Loved everything with the exception, I am a residential house cleaner with my own business, home does need a deep clean, highs and lows pictures are work very dusty cobwebs all over. Overall cleanliness was good as in counters bathroom linens smelled great.
Would definitely rent again to go see my family or sightseeing. Thanks

Moving our daughter

We had some difficulty finding and turning on lights inside and the living room lights did not give us enough light to read. Many bulbs were burned out both on the porch string and in the kitchen. We like old houses, but for safety we felt the loose newel post on the stairway could be tightened and a grab bar in the bath/shower could be added.
The amenities provided were great in the kitchen and bath, except for a the lack of some type of a bath/shower soap.

Everyone had a great time. Could have used extra towels being 6 of us a couple nights but we managed. Nice to have had local snacks and drinks waiting
