Parfait choix d'hôtel au coeur de Norwich

La situation au coeur de Norwich était parfaite - on peut tout visiter à pied au centre ville. Chambres tout à fait confortables, petit déjeuner à l'anglaise ("cooked breakfast") copieux avec option végane délicieuse. Salon aux canapés et fauteuils généreux, bar, spa ... tout y est pour un séjour de rêve dans cette belle ville de Norwich.

Mixed feelings about this hotel

The beds were tired, the shower leaked into the bedroom and the bathroom extractor fan went on for 40 minutes. On the plus side great location, desk staff were very friendly and parking was secure

Not for business, ok for pleasure

I recently stayed at the St Giles on a business trip. Couldn't fault the people who work there, absolutely everyone I interacted with was wonderful. Areas for improvement: one of the light bulbs wasn't working in the room and hadn't been changed, and the lighting in the room in general was very dark when trying to work. There were no accessible plug sockets in the room to plug my laptop in - again tricky when working. I ended up doing a zoom call sat on the floor plugged into a socket under a dressing table (not desk) by unplugging the fridge because of a lack of access. I accept the hotel is old but these are really basics that most people will need and so perhaps thought to renovating with the end user in mind might be useful. The TV didn't work properly for poor signal which is easily resolved. The water took a considerable time to warm up which is fine if you're not in a hurry to get somewhere. All in all, if you're going to Norwich for a leisurely trip and not in a hurry then this hotel is probably for you. If you need efficiency and the ability to work it's probably not the best choice.

Beautiful building but a lot of money for what we ended up with. The room was dirty and not well maintained. The bathroom needs a serious update. A shame because the building is beautiful but there’s clearly no money being spent on the upkeep. Won’t be coming here again.
