Good for me but not posh
Publié le 16 août 2024 sur HotelsThis is a pub with an incredible range of cask beers (10) mostly from the Lincoln Green Brewery. The 3 I try ed were excellent. The hotel (pub) has a faded grandeur feel and is basic. This suits me down to the ground. They do not do breakfast so we went to Tesco opposite which has a good cafe. The ensuite room was clean and tidy and met our needs well. It is up two flights of stairs though, no lift, and is a rabbit warren. Parking is on street. Overall I liked it but posh it is not.

A wonderful selection of ales. The menu was a bit basic, but very tasty. The room was comfortable, although could do with redecorating due to a water leak in the roof. Helen the bar maid was very friendly and helpful. On the whole, a pleasant trip.
