Big commotion who we tried to check in, Room was in a poor standard. No tv, shower was poor, no breakfast facilities. Overall very disappointed

Got woken up at 6am by a laundry deliver banging a cage down passage hiting the walls and reported this and manage said it’s only time they can get 1 room box standard and overall the condition of hotel seem rush to get people in and condition of the finish was very tried and bear minimum and missed homely touch and staff and manager had a attitude and the standard between hotel I stand in at 4 star and price between this and 4 star wasn’t much difference but standard was below par

Not a good night!

The reception area is tiny - any more than three or four people and you'd have to queue outside. The TV had no remote in the room. Neither of the bedside lights were working. The wall beside the bed was dirty with coffee splashed over it (see photo). The attached Cafe was closed during Covid and had not re-opened, so no prospect of breakfast. The £10 parking charge was not anywhere on the booking literature and, as the street was full, there was little option other than to pay. The mattress on the bed is cheap and nasty in the extreme. It did not aid a good night's sleep and I spent the following day with backache. The bathroom was ok. If it had not been ok, I would have looked for somewhere else to stay.
