Fall a bit short from a good place

People are very kind and really try to give there best, but it sometime fall short. For examples, at the restaurant, the dishes are not that cleaned, or even though the people have good intentions, you do wait a lot for things to happen. The other thing was the towels; i know they were cleaned, but you can see that deep, they still have stains. It just leave you with a 'ah' feeling!

Poor Service, Expect Scam and Overpriced

The stay started badly with a 2.5 hours wait at the airport for the hotel transfer. I was forced to wait on another two flights to land which arrived more than 1.5hours after me. When we got to the hotel I was told it was full despite having booked (and paid for) a room on Hotels.com. At 2.30am the receptionist sent me and the other guests to their Annex hotel down the road which had no electricity in the rooms (power was on in the city) and was a downgrade. I refused and demanded to go back to the Wissal hotel. As did one of the other groups. We asked to speak to the manager and the receptionist refused consistentlyand said there was no room. I then phoned hotels.com and asked them to speak to the receptionist. After this the receptionist suddenly had three rooms available. Hotels.com compensated me 60GBP. The room was ok for the standard in the region (although I would have expected slightly better for the price). There was half a bottle of water. This was not replaced the next day and I assume was left by a previous guest. Bed seemed clean and new toiletries (not loo role) in the bathroom. The pool was in use and; while there was a thin layer of scum on the service; was relatively pleasant to swim in. Breakfast 4/10 - had an ok fruit salad, yogurt, some cereal and lots of local dishes.

Hotel Wissal is a clean safe hotel where the staff do their best to make you feel at home. The room was very large and relatively quiet. Bathroom amenities were excellent, internet signal stable and strong for the full week I was there and the restaurant had an interesting menu even if some items weren't always available. I would return.

Business hotel okay for a short stay. bfast is just average. dinner no buffet but you can order alacarte no alcohol in Mauritania its a dry place. Mr. Yahyah was of great help.

Emplacement : La pozione è centrale, a 15 minuti dall'aeroporto. Cose belle da vedere non ho visto.
Arrivi, dici che sei una coppia e ti danno due stanze. Dopo che fai l'osservazione, ti assegnano una stanza senza finestre, senza luci, con muri scrostati. La porta ha la chiusura internazionale con la scheda, peccato che dopo 4 tentativi,da parte loro, ci hanno dato al vecchia e buona chiave. Il servizio di colazione è scarso, se chiedi un espresso, te lo fanno pagare, fuori colazione, è parecchio. Abbiamo fatto un pranzo e due cene, la carne alla griglia era carbonizzata. Le patatine fritte erano buone. È un edificio abbandonato a sè stesso, poca accuratezza, nella stanza sotto il letto c'eranomi gomitolo di polvere. Il frigo acceso, ma nemmeno l'acqua aveva dentro. Ho chiesto l'acqua al bar alas era dell'arrivo e quasi non mi voleva dare le due bottigliette. Ho detto firmo, metti nel conto alla reception. Se non avete dove andare... prima della partenza chiesto di pagare quello che erano stati i consumi, mi hanno addebitato anche la colazione, che era già compresa nella prenoatazione, ho reclamato e fatto vedere la prenotazione è allora ha ritirato la richiesta di pagare la colazione.
