I am disappointed with my stay in this hotel.
Positive experience :
The hotel itself was nice and quiet. The room itself was ok, not perfectly neat but they claim they don't use hard chemicals for cleaning to protect the soil. It's an effort I appreciate even if it means minor stains on the linen.
Bellhops, cleaning and dining staff were very kind and friendly even if they can't speak english.
We arrived by night bus at 4am so we booked for 2 nights including night of arrival to make sure we would have a room. Checkin was smooth.
Negative experience :
The next morning we rented bikes (2500kyat each). I ripped my pants with the bike because of a sharp metal piece. We went back to change it, and decided to upgrade to an ebike (electric scooter). Despite a 20cm rip in my pants that I had to throw away, they still charged us for the upgrade, and wanted to charge an extra fee because we were gonna use 1 ebike for 2 (10000 instead of 8000 for a single user).
We still bought our bus tickets thru them and rented another ebike the next day. In the evening they offered we can take a shower while waiting for the bus pickup. I asked for a towel but they wanted to charge 5USD for each towel. With all our spending, one would expect they would be a little considerate and provide a complimentary towel, even one only for the two of us. But no.
I didn't feel like a guest in this hotel, rather like a living wallet. It didn't happen anywhere else in Myanmar.
