The staff was exceptionally amazing. So nice, helpful and always wanted to make sure we were happy. They organize for us days trips with drivers and it was really worth it.
The location was great just on Lac Kivu. It was a great place to relax and go for walks in the area.
The food offered was also really good

Traditional cottage was poorly equipped. Modern cottage significantly better. Manager and staff were extremely helpful at all times.
Breakfasts were excellent
Payment was an issue as I had decided to pay the resort on arrival but payment was deducted from my card 3 days before arrival.
The traditional cottage was found to be unacceptable and a downgrade to modern was agreed but no refund was offered.

Will never forget the running waiters

The facilities are a bit rustic, and there is no aircondition, but the service was amazing and personal, and the location in the midst of a lush garden on the coast of Lake Kivu was just fantastic. It is just a shame that there is no swimming in the lake - and no pool. There was a great atmosphere in the restaurant with a fire pit on the floor and a local music performance one evening. And something I never saw before: Running waiters!!

It was nice. They said they canceled my Expedia reservation because they don’t like how Expedia takes thirty days to reimburse them. They charged me $80 to stay and did not cancel the reservation. Expedia charged me $94.43 for the same stay

Vorsicht ist hier geboten!!!
Publié le 12 janv. 2019 sur HotelsIch buchte am 25 Dez. einen Bungalow als wir dort ankamen sagte der Manager uns das er keine Buchungen von Hotels.com oder Expedia akzeptiere sondern nur bar oder mit Kreditkarte und unsere Buchung stoniert wurde er hätte das Hotels.com mitgeteilt. Wir protestierten und zeigten ihm unsere Bestätigung und wollten das mit Hotels .com sofort klären . Leider erreichte man natürlich keinen an Weihnachten und nach gut 30 min setzte er uns unter Druck entweder ihr bezahlt das Zimmer oder ihr müsst die Anlage verlassen. Also waren wir gezwungen nochmal zu bezahlen und das zu einem höheren Preis. In Deutschland zeigte sich Hotels.com kulant und erstattete uns die unaehmlichkeiten aber erst nachdem wir beweisen konnten das wir doppelt gezahlt hatten. Der Manager behauptete gegenüber Hotels.com wir wären nie erschienen. Hier wollte jemand wahrscheinlich 2x kassieren.
Die Anlage ist nicht so modern wie sie auf den Bildern erscheint. Der Garten war schön die Bungalows sind deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. Die Essensbestellung dauert mindestens 45 min manchmal 1,5 Stunden.

My room was not available at check in. First I was told that I had no booking and then I was told that I was checking in too late (11pm) despite the fact I pre-paid the room on Expedia
Expedia was great; they offered to help find another room in town and rebated the money for the Palm Beach the next morning.
Advice is to confirm with the property before you depart on vacation that your room is held; which typically should not be necessary

Amazing hidden gem of paradise

This made the holiday special and truely memorable . Will highly recommend to couples who want a fantastic ambience and recharge their batteries in a romantic setup. We will DEFINATELY be back.....Thank you
