Needs serious repair, do not rent
Posted Oct. 23, 2022 on HomeAwayYou can see by the photos that the home is outdated. However, this home shouldn't even be rented. I rent homes on VBRO all the time and this is my first bad experience. The doors didn't shut, including the two bathrooms. The larger bathroom we tried to avoid. The toliet moved, you could rock back and forth on it if you wanted too. They put a chain lock on the back of the door to hold it shut. A screw in the light switch, to make the switch work. The door in the smaller bathroom didn't shut either. That one had black mold all around the shower. Water damage underneath the attached back bedroom window. We noticed we were all stuffed up after about 24-32 hours in the home. Not sure if it was the cause, but one can guess. We tried to stay out of the home as best we could. Made it a running joke on just how bad the home was. Had a funny smell, fruit flys, and so much more, just overall very disappointing. Only plus is it does have a good location. 6 minutes from the ferry, close to downtown Oak Bluffs and a bus stop within a short walking distance. We bring our car over but the bus would be a very easy option for others if they could fix up the home first.

The house was not well maintained & was managed by Vacasa. They don’t like to call renters.
Posted Sep. 23, 2022 on HomeAwayToo many maintenance issues to list. Owner should hire someone to fix all issues provided to Vacasa rep. I received a 1 night refund. I prefer to rent from owner as communication is much better.

Deceiving Advertising
Posted Aug. 31, 2021 on HomeAwayWe were not made aware that there were 2 units on property. My in-laws just happened to stumble upon the occupant of the lower level living space. The advertisement should state that there is a separate living area downstairs and it could be occupied.

inexpensive rental

Overall we just needed to have a place to sleep at night. This fit the bill. If your looking for luxury this is not the place for you. If you want a clean house with comfortable beds this might be the place for you.

House was perfect for three seniors

next year.
