Location good, hotel has cheap upgrades, photos are decieving, front desk staff made check-in a great hassle. If you're on an expense account its ok, but there are nicer places to stay in the Berkeley area. Would not stay here again.

Very reasonably priced property for a short stay in the Bay area. Not too far from the Oakland airport and lots of food and shopping nearby if you're looking to do some exploring. The breakfast was also wonderful. We will definitely be back someday if we're ever out here again!

I was excited to stay here. The breakfast had a nice variety both days we were there. Parking was inconvenient and annoying for a late arrival. Having only one person at the desk was not ideal . But the biggest concern was the AC not working and waking up in the middle of the night because it was so hot.

Couldn’t Check In
Tried to check in, but the hotel said they did not have a room for us. They thought our reservation did not start for a couple days despite me showing them our confirmation email and receipt. They felt bad but could not do anything for us. We had to find a different hotel instead. This was at 11:30pm and we were really tired. There was no compensation or help offered for the mistake. I won’t be booking through hotels.com again.

Just be mindful there is no swimming pool here, it is at the Hyatt House which is across the street. My kids were bummed because the rep on the phone confirmed that there is a heated pool but upon check in they said it’s at the other facility. I stayed on the customer service line for an hour to get someone to confirm if we could use the facilities at the other Hyatt hotel because we were given inaccurate information (it’s just right across the street) but they didn’t acknowledge it. So that was a bit of a setback for my kids, overall, the stay was good, enjoyed the breakfast too! Convenient to many shopping centers and also the Berkeley Marina bay!
