Location is perfect for travelers visiting UC Berkeley or Downtown Berkeley in general. Easy access and most of staff and hotel was awesome. Liked the cleanliness and functionality of the rooms with separate kitchenette. Interaction with staff was great except one interaction with front desk person who didn’t keep their promise. Would recommend highly. Can’t wait to visit again.

The ONLY Hotel in Berkeley!
The front desk people were, as always, fantastic. Faith, Kiyerra and Marco were so helpful, professional and accommodating. I can't say enough about them. Really and truly. We adore Joe Jackson as well. He's always hospitable and willing to go the extra mile. We feel so great about staying at this hotel. Our friends tell us over and over that we simply must try to Fairmont Claremont due to its elegant and historical setting, etc., but we have no interest in staying anywhere but the Residence Inn when in Berkeley. It's great in every way, but the staff make it even better. And speaking with Faith the other day reminded me that the culture there is high-touch and very human. I love that.
