Relaxing and Private

The weather wasn’t always the greatest but the house was warm and my husband spent a happy time on the covered balcony gazing at the sea. Lots of walks on the beach and the tracks. The sea was a constant companion. A great escape for a few days. Would like to stay longer next time.

Publié le 19 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayAs soon as we walked in could smell the cleanliness of the place. Beautiful decor. Comfortable sofa and great having sky. Loved listening to the waves and close to amenities. So easy to relax and put your feet up. Love the track to the beach and beautiful sunsets

Lovely place to stay!

Great location, house needs attention
Publié le 21 mars 2023 sur HomeAwayThe house has not been deep cleaned in a very long time. We killed a minimum of 15 spiders during our 3 nights there…one of which was LARGE and in the bed during the middle of the night. We had a water emergency and it took us 4 calls and over 30 minutes combined of our morning to even get someone to answer the phone (even their emergency line). Luckily the water issue was the shower would not turn off, but the water was contained to the bathtub. Otherwise the entire upstairs would have flooded before anyone answered the phone. As a result we only had the very tiny shower to use (master bath was out of commission) for 2/3 of our stay. The agency felt $60 NZ was an amount that we should have been grateful for. I was not overjoyed with this based on the level of the issue, but also did not want to waste any more holiday time dealing with them. Summary: house is in a great spot but until it is under different management with better cleaning I would not stay here again.

Right on the beachfront.

Property needs a bit of updating, the decor is a bit tired and little things like no decent can opener, cutlery was like a picnic set as opposed to real cutlery, old duvet cover with an old stain on it. It is a warm and cosy place for a winter get away.
