A mere 2.5 hours drive from Sydney and 25 mins from Jenolan Caves “Lakeview Ridge” has:

Lakeview Ridge is ready for you to relax and enjoy the crisp alpine climate with spectacular views of the lush hills and alpine lake that transform in to bright orange and purple colors at sunrise/sunset and the breathtaking night views of stars.

This luxury homestead has all modern features and comprises of two large living rooms, two dinning area, a fully equipped kitchen with gas cook top and brand new appliances, 5 bed rooms with queen size beds and 4 of the bedrooms are ensuites. All the linen and towels are supplied through a professional linen supplier similar to those used in luxury hotels. All rooms have a view of the stunning hills and lake. The kitchen is fully equipped with brand new gas cooktop, double oven and other small appliances including the necessities of tea and coffee, milk pepper and salt etc.

You will enjoy sightings of wildlife, kangaroos, wombats, echidnas and farm animals while exploring our 55 acres of farm. Enjoy fresh water trout fishing and kayaking from our private access to the alpine lake.

Other Local activities include, walking trails, mushrooming, truffle hunting and sightseeing in the Blue Mountains, Jenolan Caves, Kanangra Walls, Waldara & Mayfield Garden.

Lakeview Ridge is situated just 5 minutes drive from the Oberon town, which has few cafes, pubs, restaurants and all the necessities.

Note:

Oberon is the highest town in the Greater Blue Mountains region therefore nights can be cool even in summer and during winter due to snowfalls weather can affect road conditions.

One of my favorite things about Australia is the wildlife, but for many others it can be an off-putting factor. Try to avoid walking through long grass and If you do, always wear safe clothing such as enclosed protective footwear and long trousers.

As the lake is the town’s water supply, only canoeing, kayaking and electric powered craft are permitted, and life vests must be worn.

Amazing place to stay
We had an amazing stay at Sam’s place by Lake Oberon. The house is very nice, the view and property very beautiful and the stay was overall a great experience. Sam was easy to communicate with and always on hand to help us with anything we needed. I would highly recommend a stay here and will be coming back myself I am sure.

Weekend at Lake View Ridge
A group of friends and I stayed at Lake View Ridge for a weekend away. We loved our time on the property. The scenery is incredible and the house had everything we needed. Sam (the owner) was incredibly helpful before, during and after our stay. An item was left behind by one of my friends which Sam is bringing back to Sydney. I look forward to returning to Lake View Ridge again in future!

Breathtaking views
This property is absolutely stunning. 360 degree views and a beautiful outdoor area to soak it all up. As and Sam were a pleasure to communicate with and were amazing hosts throughout our entire stay. The only negative is that there weren’t enough beds to accomodate 17 people and for the price paid it was disappointing that we had to sleep on couches and the floor. Would definitely love to come back to this property.

Amazing view, Great Location and Wonderful Stay
The property is incredible. It is well equipped, and the view is amazing. We travelled with a group of friends and everyone enjoyed the stay. Lots of space for the kids and adults with a private access to the lake. Sam was really great, and thanks heaps Sam for extending our check out time, which was really helpful. Definitely recommend LVR. Suggestions: - The pool table felt was broken (Sam already informed us before the arrival). It would be good to fix it. - The sliding door near the kitchen is a bit hard to open. - A games room inside the shed nearby will be a good feature …just a thought.

Great location and landscape, house needs a little upgrade
I'll start by saying that the property the house is on is incredible, breath taking view, quiet, lots of space for kids to run around, short walk to the lake - makes a great afternoon activity with young kids. The outside amenities were also amazing, bbq, fire pit, outside table etc. all great! The house is spacious, so kids had areas to play and adults had areas to relax. Sam was a great host from booking to check-in to check-out, very dedicated and keen to make sure we had the best stay possible. However, for the price paid, we expected the house to run more smoothly that it did... We unfortunately stayed after a less than respectful group and the pool table was broken, so was the indoor fireplace (which, while it was not advertised, we were disappointed to see!); the oven didn't work properly and the stove kept stopping randomly; The sofa bed was very uncomfortable and the absence of a common bathroom was a little annoying. The property was very clean on arrival and the rooms themselves were comfortable. The l'Occitane products in the showers were also a very nice touch. So overall, would recommend staying given the area (Mayfield gardens nearby, went horse riding etc.), the outside space and landscape, but wouldn't describe the house itself as "absolute luxury".

Beautiful lakeside setting for a perfect weekend lgetsway
The property is as described. It’s very well equipped. The location is wonderful. Beautiful walk down to the lake- the cows an added bonus. Exquisite sunsets over the lake. Sam was an excellent host attending promptly to questions and went out of his way to accommodate our requests. No hesitation recommending LVR.

overall the house and property were amazing. no one around to disturb the peace and serenity. only complaint i have is the pool table was torn and the fire pit was misleading, however the beauty and peace of the property made these issue insignificant for the overall stay.

Excellent stay with a gorgeous view
We travelled with a group of friends for my husbands 40th and it was an amazing stay which we will remember for a long time . The home is equipped with whatever you could ask for and Ash was available to help in case we needed something . The house has a stunning view of the lake and also a private access to the lake as well .

Awesome property with excellent service and view!
I cant recommend this property highly enough, with a beautiful view surrounding the property, its perfect for a week away in the country. The house is furnished nicely and very clean. Great for large groups wanting to enjoy the beautiful Australian landscape.

A fantastically located property with nice amenaties
This property is beautifully located just out of Oberon town. This is its first merit, petrol and other conveniences are close by if you're desperate, but it is secluded enough that you feel like you're really out in the country. Views from the back patio are stunning. The house itself is nicely appointed, the kitchen has a microwave, oven, dishwasher and fridge. There's a big pantry and lots of pots, pans, plates, cups and cutlery. Enough to feed over 20 people. I would recommend bringing serving platters and take away containers if you're cooking a lot and expecting leftovers and containers to keep food warm from the BBQ. Bathrooms are also lovey, there are some toiletries provided, showers are great! Only trouble is that all the available bathrooms/toilets are en-suites, there is no communal one. Bedrooms have super comfy beds, they also have leather lounges which can be pushed together for a bed, and another queen mattress on its own. There is also a sofa bed but its incredibly springy and needs something on top of the matress to be able to sleep comfortably on. Linnen and towels on all beds but for guests above the sleeping room amount BYO. Logs for the outdoor fireplace are BYO but definitely worth it, sitting by the fire pit at night is a real treat. Pool table is a great addition, as is having Wifi available and a Smart TV. Getting to the property was easy enough using Google Maps, don't use Apple maps and have an offline copy as the internet does cut out on some roads getting there. Enough light and a decent driveway no matter your car. Sam and Ash were always available for a chat via the app or messaging. They also offered us late check out at no extra charge.

Magic location, beautiful property and getting there is just a magic drive
Driving from Sydney to this incredible piece of land was truly beautiful. The further we got away from Sydney, the more picturesque it became. The blue mountains and the windy country roads with spectacular views set the scene for our arrival. The property is large and set on a beautiful large lake. The property has all the amenities you could want and its a huge modern house. We only went for the weekend but we were so relaxed and came away feeling very energised. The property is close to Jenolon Caves and we did a great hike and saw that incredible huge cave. Its quite magical. We also went quad biking on a near by property surrounded by beautiful horses, alpaca's, cows and again beautiful landscape. They also have horse riding. Our favourite part of staying there was star gazing next to our outdoor fire and lying on the outdoor benches. We have never seen more stars. Its a beautiful world and Oberon shows it off in a great way.
