The Pacific Farmhouse at Quinta do Bom Vento was originally used for preservation and preparation of food and baking bread in the traditional oven. Although the bread oven remains as a feature, the 2 bedroomed 72 sqm farmhouse now has all mod cons including a dishwasher, WiFi access, flat screen TV and i POD docking station, but oozing traditional Portuguese charm of exposed stone, tiled floors and beamed ceiling. The huge bathroom has a custom walk in shower in addition to a corner bath, The North Pacific bedroom complete with rose window is upstairs with the South Pacific bedroom downstairs (of course!) with double doors leading out on to its own terrace and private garden. Both bedrooms have queen sized beds with mattresses and luxury linens that you will look forward to sleeping in. The Pacific farmhouse has been designed as a home not a rental and the fixtures and furnishings reflect this. With a private entrance and double doors leading out from the kitchen/living area there is plenty of outdoor space to dine out or in. And you can pick fresh rosemary or figs from the garden to prepare your dinner in the full oven, microwave or BBQ. Then take a stroll in the private wooded valley to work off dinner! Of course if you don't feel like cooking, there are a couple of excellent restaurants within 4km, and the delightful medieval walled town of Obidos just 7km down the hill provides numerous dining options. Bom Vento is a traditional Portuguese farming hamlet and we love the privacy, peace and pace of life here. However with Lisbon airport reachable in just under an hour, a choice of surf and sand beaches in under 25 mins (Supertubos, Baleal, Foz do Arelho) and the oriental sculpture garden of Buddha Eden less than 10 minutes away, we feel it is the perfect place to position yourself for a holiday base without compromising on comfort. Knowing how frustrating it can be renting rural properties and arriving to an empty fridge and cupboards, we provide an extensive starter pack including milk, butter, cold meats, cheese, bread, fruit, tea, coffee, wine and beer along with essentials such as washing up liquid, paper towels, oils and vinegars. etc. Recognising the ever restrictive luggage allowances on flights we also provide toiletries and beach towels
