Publié le 14 août 2023 sur HomeAwayWe got to the house and it was a lovely house, in a great location. The garbage outside had meat and other garbage not in bags. The storm door was broken which we fixed ourselves, the floor was full of sand, the air conditioner in the kitchen didnt blow cold air and the fan in the ktchen didnt work either, the remote was nowhere to be found.
I think some of our money should be refunded.

Publié le 26 juin 2023 sur HomeAwayThere were many parts of this property that were very nice but it has some significant drawbacks. There is a strong musty smell in the back bedrooms and there is standing water under the house. I would not stay here if you have any kind of lung sensitivity or smell sensitivity. If you don’t, there are many nice parts of the house and amenities (bikes, wagon, nice beach chairs) that can make it a very nice stay.
We had some trouble with checking in (code did not work) but on site staff was very helpful and fixed the issue within a couple hours.

Great house. Oven and microwave did not work.

Terrible
Publié le 16 juill. 2021 sur HomeAwayDishwasher, microwave, dryer, convection oven, shower door, closet door, storm door and one of the air conditioners all broken. When we raised this with the management company, we received absolutely no response despite calling and texting multiple times. DO NOT RENT if you care about getting what you pay for.

Great Property

Our biggest complaint and the reason we gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because we specifically chose this rental for the bikes and grill. Out of the 4 adult bikes at the house, none were in working order and the grill was perfect, but despite a full propane tank, would not stay lit (even when we used a grill lighter to ignite it).

Traditional Fire Island house but needs some love
Publié le 1 oct. 2020 sur HomeAwayThis is a traditional Fire Island house - simple construction, great room, small bedrooms, narrow hallways. Very nice deck and outdoor shower. It was end of the season, but there were a number of small maintenance issues - a number of missing screens, which forced us to use the air-conditioning, even though it was cool. 7 or 8 bikes, none of which had air (no air pump) or were rideable (busted seats, bent frame, etc.). But, overall, still a nice house.

To rent for sure. Plenty of beach chairs for guests, but umbrellas did not work and outdoor table had no umbrella. Aside from these small easy fixes, location was great, recently renovated bathrooms great and the house is small but feels way more s p across them other FI rentals.
