Seashell cottage

Bathrooms not clean, sink in one bathroom would not drain. Spoke to someone about it & was not taken care of. They did send out cleaning people for the bathrooms. The return air vent in ceiling was filthy & that did not get cleaned.

Sea shell cottage

The sea Shell cottage was not what we saw pictured in the listing. The house is dark, musty, and items such as chairs and fans were unusable. My elderly father fell while sitting down at the very tight dining area in one of the rickety dining chairs. We woke to an ant infestation on the kitchen counter on the second morning and lost a few of our opened perishables such as donuts and chips that were sealed by chip clips. All in all because we were so appreciative of bringing our dogs and having the park across the street I had to apologize profusely to my family for not booking what was Solon the listing.

Nice stay

The house was nice. Neighbor quiet. It was nice there is a small park across the street for the dog. Had everything I need in the house. It was nice I did not have to bring my own sheets and towels. They were supplied to us. The beach is a short drive up the street, maybe a minute or two and there was plenty of parking. I would stay here again if I go down to ocean city again.

Upon arrival which was after 4pm the house had not been cleaned, this caused us to have to reach out to get the place cleaned and delayed our occupancy. The property was not very clean at all. there was an ant problem in the kitchen. the kitchen was not very well equipped lacking in matching dishes, cups, etc. we ended up using paper plates and plastic cups. the cabinets had tomato sauce stains above the stove. The house had a lot of "clutter". The yard and deck were not very well kept. Overall this property was very disappointing . We have rental several properties with VRBO and this by far was our worse experience. As a result the property was overpriced for the value received.

Unhappy we chose Vasaca, would never rent from this company again.

The inside of the cottage was fair, there were broken door knobs, and the fridge and stove were dirty; the outside of the place was not maintained at all. There was overflowing garbage from the last renter basting in the heat, and flies and ants were everywhere. You couldn't go in or out of the property without flies and bugs coming in. Every time we called Vascasa, I had to re-tell the whole story, and we lived with the stinky garbage at the entrance of our door for the entire length of our stay. No one cared about it or did anything about it. It was poor communication. I would never trust Vasaca again. In addition, the property had cobwebs and dried-up plants; you couldn't use the outside patio, it was so dirty, or the backyard, which was so overgrown with weeds and dirty plants.

Great location but house is VERY In need of repairs

Upon first arriving my toddler leaned against the wooden railing at the top of the stairs next to the door and it started swaying. We immediately made a “no learning in the banister” rule in fear of it breaking. After we got the key to enter the home, the handle of the storm door came off. Once we figured out how to open the storm door we were greeting with a seemingly clean little cottage. We started to unpack and it seemed like each room we went into there were more broken things that needed repairs. The wood panel above the cabinet under the sink was just leaning against the cabinetry. The screen door for the inside pantry was broken with the screen half pushed through. There was a broken strip of wood on the corner of the hallway that my husband had to fix so it wouldn’t be dangerous for our children. The strip of floor trim in the entrance of the room with the two beds kept coming up causing everyone to trip. I immediately called the company who manages the property and they said they would send someone out. We never saw anyone. I did receive a notification that someone was there and the door was fixed. The next day my husband and I were loading the car for the beach and the handle came off again. This time we struggled to get it back on and my child was on the other side of the door crying. I sent a picture of the ordeal to management and they just said “sorry you’re experiencing this” The bathroom doors do not lock (not ideal with two families staying in one home) the master bathroom door doesn’t close all the way. My family and I stay at rentals several times a year and this is the first poor review I am leaving. The management company does not care how your stay is and while they give you a number to reach out 24/7 there is little follow up about repairs and concerns.

comfortable beds & everything we needed

The beds & sofas were comfortable. Everything was great. Kitchen well stocked, crock pot, pots & pans, dishes, utensils,,toaster, blender, & margaritas machine? (didn't try it but should have!!) Nice park across street,canal dwn street, beach quick drive w free parking spots. Nice picnic bench and grill. So nice!
