As a local in the area and attending the New Years Celebration at Vista it was great to know I had a room to go to instead of driving. Room was clean and the renovations made to the hotel were great. The breakfast area was the only downfall …the area is just too small. With all that room up in the Vista dining area something should be worked out.

One stop with benefits
We have been at this hotel several times and we love that it's pet friendly this time The best part is that it has a hot tub and a pool top floor restaurant is so close to the ocean less than a block away. So many restaurants are so close by which makes it even more convenient also.

The stay was pretty good. We didnt know they had a new years eve party scheduled in the restaurant from 8pm to 2am or we probably wouldnt have stayed. This was our fault that we didnt research that better but that made it difficult to get to sleep. We were on the 7th floor and the restaurant was right above us on the 8th floor, they had a live band from 8pm to 2am so the music kept us up until it stopped. Again this wasnt the hotels fault it was ours for not knowing that before we went.

The floor and the bathroom were very dirty. There was hair from the previous guest in the shower, the sink was cracked, the door lip was broken, and the room smelled terrible. I only chose this hotel because it was dog friendly and I honestly felt like it was a mental hospital. Parking was not great either. This hotel worked fine in a quick jam but the other guests’s dogs were barking the entire stay too. I love dogs but when they bark for hours on end, it can be a bit much.

Hotel is going downhill already
My first experiences at this hotel were great, the rooms were clean, the staff was nice. This trip we had a completely different experience. The rooms were gross, hair in the tub, sheets had stains all over them, furniture was stained, the pool was disgusting, towels floating in the hot tub and pool, trash all over the pool deck. The front desk associate Audrey, argued with me about what I needed to pay even though I paid up front through a third party hotel booking site. She tried to charge us with a pet fee although I made it very clear our dog was a service dog and she was exempt from pet fees. I am so disappointed because we used to love to stay here but the carelessness and poor attitude of the staff along with the poor quality of the amenities including the room leaves us to find a new place to stay when we visit.

The food was pretty decent. An expanded buffet with more space would have been better. The place was quiet and parking was ample. The staff were very courteous and helped us out with attractions and dining. I would recommend the Fenwick Inn. The only negative I have is the pool chemicals that seemed to give me headaches??
