This motel saved me from the reeky room at the Econolodge down the street. It's a blue collar clientele, but I felt safe and comfortable - and grateful for a room that didn't smell!

Admittedly, you get what you pay for. At check in, even though I had prepaid with Expedia, they demanded a $50 deposit before giving me a key card. Initially the roon seemed clean enough, although the air freshener was overpowering. My wife was thoroughly disgusted to find herself showering in backed up water with other people's hair floating in it. I delayed showering until next morning but had same experience. Just about most nauseating thing to happen to me in a motel. Then to bed... not sure how to describe the sound the bed made when you sat on it or moved on it. Kind of like when you shake a sheet of metal to simulate the sound of thunder. I was afraid to say anything until I had my $50 back in my hands. Tonight I am staying in a well maintained property in another state, and the contrast only makes last night seem even worse. I stayed across the street at the Baymont last year. Go there, much better
