Avis Bear Trap Dunes condo with pools, hot tub, WiFi, central A/C, & washer/dryer

Very nice, clean condo. You could tell the owners took great care of the rental. Location was great.

Overall the area and house was a great place to stay at.

It was close to the places we were visiting. Condo was nice.

Positive-Nice condo once you reach living area. Open floor plan, lots of windows. Furniture & beds fairly comfortable. Bathrooms were ok. Negative-The amount of steps to climb to reach the condo itself, this was not mentioned in description, which to me is a serious and dangerous issue for older folks or for someone who physically can't handle climbing up/down the amount of steps like that. Extremely difficult for us to carry luggage etc up all these steps upon checkin, caring up parcels purchased while there. Then caring it all down on check out day. Kitchen faucet handle broke off 1st day never fixed, micro wave handle was completely broken off (liked that upon checkin) very difficult to open. Crumbs on kitchen floor, pieces of old food under kitchen sink cabinet, grit like substance on 2nd bedroom floor, dust bunny party under beds. NO PET policy on this condo but yet there was dog food & bowls in kitchen closet & animal hair on mattress in 2nd bedroom. I left an item there & reported it the next day after unpacking realizing it was left. Person taking the report wasn't friendly at all, & when asked when someone would check & let me know when I would hear something she responded she didn't know! I never heard for anyone & because of sickness I was unable to inquire back myself until today 12/8/23. As expected it was not found, know it was left in unit so either was throw away or taken. Due to the above mentioned negatives will not stay here again.

Overall, the property was nice. Very spacious and nicely decorated. Some areas like the bathroom rugs/floor could have been cleaned better. It should be noted that the closet in the upstairs loft is locked and not available to use. Area was quiet and located very easily to shops, restaurants, groceries, etc.
