Publié le 27 mars 2021 sur HomeAwayThe view was beautiful but misleading as there is a huge, ugly bauxite plant on the left, not shown in any photos. The noise was extremely loud and annoying from all the trucks with air brakes, motorcycles and cars with loud mufflers from the road directly below the unit. It was so loud that we couldn't converse with each other on the balcony or talk on our cell phone. The description said "occasional noise"; this is completely misleading and inaccurate. Further, the kitchen was tiny and there was mold on the refrigerator door. The sensor for the electric stove was broken and never got replaced during our 3 month stay. The description also claimed that the maid could cook for an additional fee. She had no idea about this and no interest in cooking! Lastly, the internet was terrible, and after we complained a new router was installed which improved the speed, but it was still disconnected continuously.

Beautiful View with the Perfect Location

The thing to keep in mind is that one side of the home is open to the outside - so you have windows that are screened and shuttered, but don’t close off the outside elements completely. But closing the bedroom doors and curtains assist in keeping the A/C in the bedrooms more than sufficient!
The home is perfectly placed in the Columbus Heights complex - right in the front. You can walk EVERYWHERE that you want to go.
Fishing Village is wonderful. The Reggae Kitchen there is our favorite restaurant and bar. If you walk up the street a way, The Jerk Center is the next runner up. If you want a spa day - Candy’s Tips N Toes is the place to go.
Sitting on the balcony and looking at the pier is serene. The swimming pool is literally outside of the door. Well kept landscaping. The washer and dryer are a short walk away. And Ms. Angela (housekeeper) is very nice and thorough. She comes 2x a week and leaves the place crisp, clean and refreshed.
This place feels like home. =~} Absolutely enjoyed this place. Can’t wait to come back.

Great Ochos Rios location!

Publié le 31 mars 2019 sur HomeAwayI would definitely stay here again. Beds are comfy and AC in bedrooms is efficient and quiet. The kitchen is tiny but well equipped and has all you need. Windows are screened so they can be open to let in a breeze which is lovely. The view off the huge balcony overlooking the bays of Ocho Rios and the cruise ship terminal are amazing. We enjoyed our morning coffee and just soaked up the million dollar view. The only negative I would say is the music from the clubs at night down below is very loud but once you shut the doors it’s not an issue. One of the 5 pools is just outside and it’s like a lovely oasis. No AC in the living area but there are 2 ceiling fans which is great. Plenty of closet and storage space in the bedrooms and bathrooms. The pictures are true to the unit. The location is 5-10 minutes from town mystic mountain and Dunn’s river falls. Perfect! We loved it and will happily book again.

Overall it was a great place to stay I will be going back . The owners were very truthful in their description of the apartment. It is well taken care of and clean . The view was breathtaking. Oh and might I say to just sit on the balcony at nights and feel the fresh air is priceless. Love this place !!!!! Thanks Vernon

Publié le 4 févr. 2017 sur HomeAwayThe Pearl is accurately described and reflected well in the pictures. It is kept very clean. The was the first property my husband and I used as part of HomeAway. We have been there twice in the last six months.
While the property has a great view, you will hear traffic noise since it is located above one the main thoroughfares.
The overall property is very hilly, which will provide a great cardio workout.
