Wonderful stay
Publié le 26 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe place was nice clean neat and the host along with her cleaning lady Shelly was on point! You are staying in the heart of Ochi which I love everyone from the staff on the property were very friendly and helpful. I will stay at this property again

The location is great, the buildings are a little bit old and needs repair. The side I stayed on need cleaning attention. should be clean every day. The receptionist and the host needs to be on one accord. The Host is not really hosting and leaves the hosting up the housekeeper. The housekeeper may or maynot know the information of the renter. No one was there to meet or greet us..... the setup needs improvement and can be better.After making a call to the host, the housekeeper came (Shelly) she was pleasant and apologize for coming to settle us in after 8:00PM. If not for the call, she would not have showed up....Not Good......The front desk, PR needs a lot of improvement.

Publié le 12 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThis property was lovely and within walking distance of supermarkets, shops, the jerk chicken stand, Ocho Rios Jerk, taxi stations - including route taxis were easy to get to (walk) and within a 15 minute drive from the Knutsford (Drax Hall). The cleaning person was easy to reach and personable (Shelly). The property was not waterview (it didn’t say it was) but access to the pool was so easy and access to the beach was easy as well - walk downstairs to the gate and enter. It was also very easy to work with the owner and we greatly enjoyed our stay.

Ein Wehrmutstropfen für uns war die nicht funktionierende Klimaanlage, die auch in unseren sechs Tagen des Aufenthaltes nicht repariert wurde.
Insgesamt aber empfehlenswert!!

Nice location
Publié le 20 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe property manager was very nice and accomodating. I loved the location in close proximity to the shopping are we walked to do what we wanted to do.
We rented a 2 bedroom but received a loft with 1 bedroom. The sheets on the beds in the loft were not clean. When we walked in the space I could smell stale bleach water as if the place was hurried wiped. The stairs on the walk to get to the space were never swept in the 4 days we were there. The same garbage we saw when we arrived were the same garbage we passed when we were leaving, 4 days later.
The bedroom air conditioner never worked the 4 days we were there. We never received any cleaning or offer for cleaning for our entire stay.
Our food was overtaken by ants on the countertop on our second day.
We were charge one price and now I saw an increase in the cost on my credit card.
This could have been a great stay if simple accomadations were in place.

Publié le 20 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe apartment was clean and neat and loved the proximity to the beach. Close to strip with lots of activities and nightclub!!! The locals were welcoming, I enjoyed interacting with them daily. I will be booking again in the near future.

GREAT location and property
Publié le 14 mars 2023 sur HomeAwaySand Castles is great. Ive always loved staying there. I will say that this unit could use a bit of upgrades. The pots and pans are in terrible shape and there was no serving wear other than a slotted spoon. No mixing bowls or platters. VERY limited silverware. It made it hard to cook in the room. The sheets on the twin beds in the loft were very thin and old with holes. The elastic was gone so they wouldnt even stay on the bed.
Shelly, the property manager, was a sweetheart though...she was very responsive to our needs and requests. I wish the owner would put a few bucks into the place because I would LOVE to stay there again but for the nightly price I feel its a bit overpriced and shabby.

Good location / cleanliness was lacking

No mesh so bugs were croling in easy. #2.Dishes were all rusted and not useful at all we had to go out and buy our own. #3 pictures of the place were different than what we ended up up in. Carpet in the livingroom is pointless full of sand like it's outside and no vacuum 😒 just a broom so it's worst if you try to do something to clean it up.
Communication was good but place is not kept in good condition at all. You come in and it's too late if you booked for 2 weeks like us. Was very disappointed.
If she would invest a bit in that place and not just look to collect I would have been back and would recommend .
Not again !
