Truly a sweet cottage
Publié le 12 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis cottage is truly sweet in all aspects. It is located in an area that is close to the main street but far enough away that it is quiet. The sound location is beautiful, we watched the birds every morning while we drank coffee while sitting on the deck. The interior is very nicely decorated in a slightly retro and sophisticated beach vibe. The furniture and the beds are very comfortable. The kitchen had the perfect amount of space, dishes, cooking and serving utensils. The outdoor shower (with warm water!!) was also convenient to rinse off beach sand. There was even some starter soap, paper towels and bathroom tissue. The house was very clean.
I had the opportunity to communicate with the owner in the weeks prior to our stay and she was very quick in responding to my communications.
I would definitely consider renting this house again.

Sweet old-fashioned cottage

We stayed here during the cloudy, rainy week of Tropical Storm Debby but North Pond was protected from the wind, so we could enjoy it during the rain breaks- swimming, kayaking, and paddle boarding. The place was clean and had most of the things we needed to cook. The property manager was very responsive and kind when we had a small issue.
The main thing we missed was having a screened porch, which seems essential for Ocracoke, or at least a covered porch would have been nice with all of the rain. Overall, a great cottage and location.

A slice of heaven on the sound

Relaxing
Publié le 12 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayOur third stay. Always peaceful and relaxing. We love that it is shady, we can kayak in the sound from the backyard and bicycle to all the cute shops. The things you need to cook a fresh seafood dinner from the local seafood market are stocked. Check in and out is always a breeze.
