No-frills hotel

The Garner is a very no-frills hotel. It reminded me of the Motel 6 concept. The room was clean. Expect the bare minimum of amenities. I had to ask for an ice bucket, cups, hand soap and hangers. Then there are ice machines on only 2 floors. It was supposedly updated, but looks unfinished. After I checked out, an additional "mystery charge" of $7.05 appeared on my credit card. The note with it said the hotel had a right to add additional charges. This should be stated up front and during the checkout process. The breakfast is adequate--breads, fruit, scrambled eggs and turkey sausage, a waffle maker, yogurt.

Check in was a mess. Pool water was very hot. My son tripped on an area next to the pool where a chair lift used to be that had a rusty pipe sticking out. The man at the front desk was not the least bit concerned about the blood around the pool or my son. We have multiple random charges that were charged without explanation and have yet to be refunded. Air conditioning stopped working during the night. Overall this was a horrible experience and would not recommend staying here.

when we got there the room was nice and very comfortable the thing i didnt like there was so much chlorine in the pool mine and my daughters hair is ruined there is nothing i can do to make it get out its so bad and the swim suites been washed 3 times still smells like chlorine and the pool was super cloudy any way which i kinda thought there is to much chlorine but the kids were so excited to swim

No soap in the bathroom. No iron and the hairdryer did not work. Not enough parking and the lot was dark.
