Unhappy

There was no TV, or working internet. The ‘king size’ mattress that is in the loft can only fit one person because the ceiling is only a little over one foot from the mattress….it is honestly unsafe. The mattress is also covered in plastic which was very uncomfortable. My husband and I had to sleep in separate beds unfortunately.

Hey Joli, We apologize for the tv and internet not working. We have reached out to the service provider to fix this issue. We have provided pictures of the loft mattress and hadn't previously heard anyone was unhappy with the plastic that protects the mattress itself but will look into what we can do to protect the mattress and be less intrusive. We are truly sorry we did not meet your expectations and will take your feedback and work to improve this. experience for others.

Pleasant stay for three

It was a very pleasant stay. Loved the location. Goats, horses, donkeys and cattle to hang out with. Show up easy on expectations and you will enjoy it. Previous posters complained of AC issues but the AC there was plenty strong and kept the place comfortable at 70. Sleeping is a little awkward with the low ceiling loft but we slept three comfortably using the trundle bed. Bar across the street played live music and while it was some awful singing, it was still a decent vibe. Porch was very nice. Could not figure out TV or internet. It may have worked but we didn’t spend much time trying to figure it out. Highly recommend for 2 adults and 2 kids or less.

Total disappointment

Everything looked fine upon arrival, but we quickly noticed that the house was HOT. The A/C was off so we quickly turned that on and unloaded the car and started to get settled. After 45 minutes the house wasn’t cooling at all. Despite having the thermostat set on 70 the temperature was showing 82 degrees. Meanwhile, my daughter got her laptop set up to finish up some work and realized we needed the internet password. So, at around 5:30 pm, an hour after we arrived, I messaged the host requesting the internet password and to let him know the A/C wasn’t working. After waiting 4 hours and not getting a response I had to go to Walmart and buy a fan, just so we could try to get some sleep since it was still 82 degrees in the house. I should also note the trash hadn’t been taken out since the previous guest and it was nearly full. The shower has two temperatures; scalding hot or freezing cold, no in between! I never heard a word from the host in response to my messages when we arrived. Nothing at checkout. Just silence. While the property and location is great, I would not recommend staying here unless you like sleeping in a sauna and being completely ignored by the host.

The stay was really great. Hot tub was definitely a plus!! Only problem was that the shower would only shoot out cold water and the ac wasn’t really working either. the communication was not the best but overall the place was really amazing.

Unfortunately we didn’t get to stay here. When we checked in the house was still dirty, laundry on the floor, beds with dirty sheets, full trash can- it clearly had not been cleaned from previous clients. When I reached out to property manager, it took a while to get a response and then was told the home would be cleaned immediately so we went to an early dinner. Returned 2 hours later and the home still wasn’t cleaned. After calling again I was told someone was coming ASAP. After about 20 minutes a young man finally did show up, empty handed, and there were no clean sheets in the place. He said it would be a while longer for him to get it cleaned. He was very nice but let us know he was sorry and he would have to figure out the sheet situation. We were exhausted and pretty frustrated at this point so we decided to stay elsewhere. I asked to get a call from owner- which never happened but I did receive a notice stating we would be getting a PARTIAL refund. When I reached out on why we would not be receiving ALL of our payment back we were told because we could have waiting for it to get cleaned… as if it were our fault. I wrote back explaining that they had hours, and we were supposed to be able to check in at 4 and I think we deserved a full refund to which we never got a response. I would highly advise you NOT to stay here…. I guess we should have read the rest of Freedom Farms reviews on google before staying here.

We enjoyed our stay! We were happy to see the Zebra. The only suggestion we would have is a curtain in the bathroom. We would stay again!

Super cute place to stay. We didn’t have enough towels but communication was good.
