Jumping Sturgeon!
Publié le 25 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayExcellent well taken care of property. Nice area to explore nature type stuff. But the best part was sitting on the dock in the morning watching lots of sturgeon jumping, very cool experience.

June Getaway
Publié le 9 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayI have returned to this trailer several times. I love the location and the river is absolutely beautiful! I would love to see the owner buy another pot for cooking. There is only one large pot and I was trying to cook corn on the cob and spaghetti--so I had to do it in shifts. I also wish the owner would have salt and pepper. Thankfully there is a Dollar General right down the road. If you want a place to truly get away and enjoy nature, this is the place for you. The jumping fish are an added delight!

River Retreat

We enjoyed all the local Springs that we swam at.
Grocery stores and restaurants were all with in
6 miles. We will return again next summer.

Family Vacation
Publié le 28 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayThe stay was ok. The water was terrible. We did have drinking water, it was the well water. We did not use the washer because of it. The grass was very overgrown. It was clean inside.

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. The river has been very high this spring. We do recommend you bring drinking water as we are on a well, which was communicated to you prior to your arrival. We have been having problems with our lawn service, but we've corrected that with a new service.

Read the fine print
Publié le 15 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayYes it was clean , easy to locate, plenty of parking and on the river. That being said , what is does not state in the listing is that there is no safe drinking water so you have to bring bottles and jugs of water to drink, cook and brush your teeth with. Yes it is on the river but what is not in the listing is that the river can flood at anytime which is what happened to us. It was so high it flooded into the yard and made the river's currents too dangerous to use the kayaks. Be careful read all the fine print.

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. Yes, the river can rise, based on the amount of rain received north of us. We cannot control the weather or the height of the river. The house was not affected, but yes this year it did come up the boat ramp and closure of some springs. Reading weather reports prior to any vacation is advised. We are on a well, which is communicated to you prior to your arrival. The water is treated , however, bringing drinking water is recommended.
