We reserved the suite with the jacuzzi and fireplace and for the price we expected something special. The room itself was nicely appointed with a jacuzzi we had fun in, a fake but atmospheric fireplace, some nice terry robes and some really nice furnishings. However, it was not clean!!! It was super dusty, we found a broken hair elastic in our bed (yuck), some nondescript sludge on the edge of our tub (yuck) and a bunch of hair in the toilet (yuck!!) when we first came into the room. Additionally only 3 coffee pods were provided, none decaf for a room of 2 people which seemed underappointed and required us to request more. Also we had to call down for towels as only 3 were provided that weren't sufficient for jacuzzi time plus regular showers for 2 people. The day after playing in the tub we also noticed some of the bubble sludge was not adequately cleaned away from the side of the tub. As with most hotels these days there was a horrible noisy HVAC in the room too (not to mention the inebriated guests banging around all night the one of the nights). We really liked the morning hot breakfast, which was tasty and had lots of options though the poor woman manning the kitchen could have used some help as she was racing around busily yet the silverware and the ketchup had run out (only one bottle for everyone to use).

The room was a good size, clean, and easy to access. A good hotel.

Hotel, on the whole, was very good. The air conditioning unit was quite loud, however, and I ended up turning it off to try and get some sleep. It didn't influence my overall impression of the room, or the hotel in general.

Best Hotel in Olds
