Leta was flexible in our arriving time for us. The place is easy to find, comfortable, quiet and clean. Ideal for two couples as there is two rooms, if you like, or a family. We will definitely return. Leta really cares about her guests.

Huge room and great hostess
Posted Aug. 5, 2017 on Expedia
Pros: Amount of space.
Cons: It would be lovely if Leta had some of her sculptures on site.
Location: Great birding at Road 22. Make sure you view the stature of John Oliver on Main Street; its Leta's.
A suite, not just a bedroom - what a great space. And my husband remarked on how immaculate the place was. As well, Leta's detailed instructions on the "back" roads meant we saw great countryside while avoiding the main highway. Our new place to stay when we return to the Okanogan.

Thank you for your great review. I must do something about the sculpture.
I look forward to having you return to my B&B.
Thanks again.
Cheers!

1 of a kind!
Posted Oct. 4, 2015 on HotelsOur "hostess" was very friendly and hospitable.
She recommended things to do and places to visit in Oliver.
The B & B is located in a very quiet neighbourhood.
Our room was quite large.

Very Disappointing!
Posted Jul. 30, 2015 on HotelsThis was a very disappointing B&B as the owner - Letta made us feel we were a huge imposition for her. She told us she was too tired and no longer cooked breakfast. (This is advertised as a B&B). She said she hadn't been out shopping but could provide us with some bread to make our own toast and some yogurt and cheese and then please do the dishes afterwards! Her whole attitude was one of resignation that she had to have guests in her home. I think she is in the wrong business!

I am sorry for any misunderstanding or misinterpretations. In six years as a B&B host I have never been unwelcoming or made anyone feel they were any kind of imposition, and always tell everyone who stays not to hesitate to ask if they need anything.
I prioritize on having a nice clean suite ready for guest’s arrival. Not all B&Bs cook for their guests. Many people prefer to have a simple breakfast to eat in privacy and comfort at a time they like.
This year I am not cooking for guests, and the property listing states that a continental breakfast is provided.
Continental Breakfast definition - A light breakfast consisting usually of coffee or tea and a roll, pastry, or other baked good typically presented for guests to help themselves rather than being served like it would be in a restaurant, and usually for those who are vacationing on tight budgets.
I provide more than that with the addition of juice, fruit, yogurt, and a choice of cheese or eggs. I apologized that I was out of eggs because of not yet having time to shop that day and asked if chees would be ok.
I let all guests know that they can wash or rinse the breakfast dishes if they like, but to “please” not put any dishes back away because I sanitize the ones used from each group. I am very sad that my words and intention have been misinterpreted.
In fact I am very grateful for all of the many wonderful and happy guests I have welcomed into my home over the years.

Clean and quiet retreat

Pros: Very clean, quiet location, lots of space, well equipped kitchenette, fast wifi, and jetted tub.
Cons: The tv and vcr could be modernized. Also, would prefer the wifi internet to be on 24x7 without requesting it.
Location: Located in the heart of Canada's vineyards and near some beautiful lakes.
A great bed and breakfast to stay at if you want to get away. Leta keeps the place immaculately clean and perfume/odor free. Lots of space in the suite, plus an extra bedroom is available. With a jetted tub and nice shower, and comfortable bed, it exceeds your average motel room by far. Guests get their own entrance with keypad (no keys), and the neighborhood is quiet and close to Oliver's main roads and services. I'd book this place again.

Excellent B&B
Posted Jun. 29, 2015 on HotelsThis was one of the best B&B I have ever stayed in. It was spacious, secure with an alarm system, spotless, comfortable, reasonably priced and met our needs perfectly. Our hostess was friendly, gracious and very organized. We would definitely stay there again.

Another Oliver secret
Posted Jun. 10, 2015 on Hotels1 of a Kind Sculpture B&B was a welcome surprise. A quiet, modern, home-like atmosphere with lots of room in the suite, with a full kitchen. Our hostess was pleasant and gave us a lot of tips on what to do and see. Far better value than a comparably priced hotel room.

B&B - not your traditional style
Posted May 26, 2015 on HotelsThis B&B was very clean and the owner was very accommodating and friendly. It is not your typical B&B though as breakfasts were not made the morning of, but instead ingredients were put in the fridge for you to prepare yourself (simple continental style + eggs). It was the perfect location for our trip as you are in the heart of wine country, so if you are not one to stay in your room during the vacation, this is a decent place to sleep. Expect an underwhelming first impression, a clean place requiring some updating (old style TV with VHS player - it only costs a couple hundred dollars to upgrade to a small flat-screen and DVD!), and a fair amount of room for a couple or even small family. Not sure I would stay again as it is definitely no 3.5 or 4 star place, but served us well...think Motel 6 in someone's house.
