Beautiful outlook but beware Wednesday nights
Posted Aug. 18, 2023 on HotelsFrom our balcony (Room 22 on third floor) we enjoyed a beautiful view of the Vecht. A spacious room although there are some features that could do with maintenance (eg timber floor on balcony) and provision of more shelving.

Great rooms in a river front hotel

Pleasant hotel

The only bad hotel on our Netherlands vacation.

They ranged from really good to fantastic. The one that really stood out is the Zon in Ommen. And not in a good way. Terrible hotel and way overpriced. Dirty carpets in the hallways, stairs and rooms. Tiny, loud rooms.
Amenities not as advertised. The surrounding nature, trails, Sahara and castles are worth a visit.
