The resort is located on remote Ono Island which makes it a very unique and local experience as its run by local Fijians. Delicious and fresh local food was prepared - 3 hearty meals each day. They even gave us fresh coconuts to drink from, had delicious local seafood every day and they prepared a LOVO, a traditional feast for us on our last day with fish, chicken, pork, lobster and many many sides. And it was just my husband and I!
We went on 8 amazing dives and our dive master, Dee, was so amazing, taking us to different places each day to see a variety of places, fish and coral. She spotted and we watched the largest octopus she's seen in 4,000+ dives and took us to see the eagle rays since the manta rays weren't around that time of year.
The boat rides and views were all picture perfect - such a serene and picturesque location away from crowds and tourists!
A big vinaka to all of the staff (Tutu Joe, Joe, Dee, Ame, Nani, Joanna, Maria, Junior, and Elijah) who made our stay at Mai Dive so special.
