I've stayed at this property a few times over the past several years and have never had a problem getting a room with a fairly decent view of the gulf. This time I was in a room with the Boulevard view and the check-in staff made it clear it was because I booked the room thru a 3rd party app, instead of booking the room through them. It was very frustrating not getting the room I requested and paid for. Because of this experience, I highly doubt I'll stay at Sleep Inn on the Beach again.

Property was in a great location. Beach access. Room was a little dirty/dusty. Pillows were small and square, cockroach in bathroom.

I have photos to support this review. I would not stay here again. If we had our child with us, we would have not stayed at all. The majority of hotels were also booked. The cleanliness was very concerning. Mold found several places. The two worst areas were in our shower (6th floor) and the ice maker right outside the elevator on the 6th floor. The ice maker had so much mold in it that when ice was dispensed, black specs accompanied the ice… The rolling chain in our room was covered in rust, the ceiling had black spots on it. I did not try the breakfast due to the condition of the hotel, I was not risking it. I only encountered staff upon check in and the house keepers which were all friendly. Close beach access. Overall, it is not worth the cost to stay here, find something else, the smell of mold upon entrance is overwhelming.

Emily,Thank you for the review. We are in a very humid part of the country, right on a beach and mold is always a concern. We address it every day. I have no doubt you could have come across some mold that we missed in our cleaning. I apologize for that. I promise that had you notified us we could have had your concern addressed in minutes. We do our best, it is not always 100% but we will continue to try. As far as the ice machine I promise you that any mold you may have seen was in the bottom of the drain, nowhere near the ice or the ice dispenser. It has since been addressed. You should have tried our breakfast. It is outstanding! If you don't believe me, you should read the reviews of the thousands of others that rave about it!

Affordable hotel with a swimming pool right on the beach. Offers rooms with gulf views. Appreciated the freshly cooked omelets for breakfast.
