Wonderful wonderful wonderful. Chanel was great! The perfect balance between attending to our needs but letting us enjoy our time to ourselves. Great setting and a wonderful time

This BnB is amazing! Chanel provided flawless hospitality and accommodations. The property is well kept and located right in town. I highly recommend considering this BnB for your trip to Orange. Also a great price compared to other hotels and BnBs.

The aprehension dawned on us as soon as we entered the property. There are logs and cut down trees littering yard. The grounds are not maintained. Lights in disrepair. Fences broken. Garbage strewn about. The “cottage” we stayed in was a converted shack. Bed was hard, cheap, and uncomfortable. Lighting was inconsistent in same room. Plastic covering on skylight. Dirty ceiling fan. Cheap shower curtain and hangers. Kit Kats next to bed. “Breakfast” was some food lion muffins, still in container, some granola bars, laughing cow cheese, and some slices of meat in wrapper all left in fridge. This place is absolutely fraudulent. It’s not a manor. It’s not a hospitality center. Heck, it ain’t even a place that’s set up for overnight stays. I wouldn’t expect some college kids to crash here, much less treat my wife to a weekend away - which is what I tried to do.

I have stayed in many small hotel’s and at times when there have been things to ‘complain about’ I brought this to the attention of the hotel owner privately – as it is the right thing to do when you have good character. I have always gone above and beyond for my guests and care very much that the guests are looked after well, as my business is my life. I am currently recovering from a year’s cancer treatment and reading the words many of which are blatantly dishonest, are very upsetting.This particular guest arrived 4 hours early and one would think if the ‘Self-Catering Cottage’ was so bad they would want to leave early or at least on time however they lingered inside the cottage and stayed hours late after their check out time. (why would they stay on longer in the cottage if they felt things were unpleasant)To address their points 1)They complained because the candy left on each pillow was a mini kitkat (however THEY ATE THEM) Should this had been brought to my attention we could have removed them2)They also did not book the manor house – they booked the garden cottage suite – so yes they were NOT in a manor that part is true.3)The so called ‘pack of meat in plastic’ that they refer to was imported Italian Proscuitto (yes sealed) 4)We have left them a continental Fruit Basket, bottled spring water, freshly squeezed Orange Juice, assorted health bars, assorted fresh yoghurts, Granola and a choice of sealed pastries, a cheese board of assorted cheeses, as well as Coffee and Creamer. They complain about this HOWEVER THEY ATE EVERYTHING IN SIGHT EXCEPT ONE APPLE. (bizarre that you would eat absolutely all the food if you don’t like it)5)Dominion Energy is currently cutting down White Ash Trees in Virginia and yes there were 2 at the very entrance at the bottom of our driveway about half a mile away from the cottage that they had cut down and sawed up a day prior to the guest’s arrival. (there are thankfully no other trees down on our property) Please note that when Dominion decides to saw trees down there is literally nothing a property owner can do – they unfortunately have the right and do not need our permission as heartbreaking as it may be to lose any beautiful tree.6)On reading the review since I was so distressed our team scoured the entire property looking for any broken fence (none to be found) so this is in fact untrue.7)My team walked all 5 acres of our grounds to look at what trash they could be referring to – however after searching the entire grounds they found one small plastic cup under some leaves – hence I regret to say ‘trash all over’ is blatantly dishonest – there was and is none. 8)The bed they slept on is white leather with crystal studs bought from Wayfair – hence many of our Bridal couples book this as their honeymoon suite (none have complained and all have been happy) as a matter of fact the very next week we received a 5 star review from guests that visited this same cottage9)We recently installed

Amazing find for our family

The stay at Greenock Manor could not have been better! We loved every minute from the secluded location to the friendly and attentive owners. We would stay again in a heartbeat! Thank you for making our trip wonderful! From precheck in to check out, there was never a moment that we could not get a staff member. We loved it and had a fantastic stay.
