Easy, convenient, clean with plenty of space
Publié le 11 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe stayed at the house with 2 other couples. We had plenty of space. The beds were very comfortable, showers good and clean. We sat at the outdoor table in the evenings and we bought supplies from Harris Farm in Orange, for a cook up breakfast.

Disappointed
Publié le 9 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayOn the whole the property was roomy and comfortable but looking further there were some very disappointing area's. The barbecue was dirty and unusable and the whole area around the barbecue was thick with grease and had not been cleaned for a long time. We found dirty frying pans in the drawers and the sandwich press needed to be discarded. The skirting doards were diry and the windowsill in the back bedroom was disgusting. Seeing as we were charged $250 cleaning I was expecting better.

I am really unhappy reading your review. I find it amazing that the guests before and after your stay left us 5 star reviews. I am also glad that you found the home comfortable and roomy.
Firstly, let’s look at the positives. You managed to book the house at a price of $250 per night including weekends which is an absolute bargain for an 4 bedroom home and around three hundred per night less on weekends than is the usual amount. Secondly, the cleaning fee was $200 not $250. The replacement linen is $100, so I don’t believe a fee of $100 is too much to ask to clean a 4 bedroom home.
Thirdly, following your complaints during your stay, I went to the house. The windowsill in the back bedroom was dusty but far from being “disgusting”. I also checked the pots and pans and didn’t find any of them dirty. Two were a bit scratched in the non- stick area and I have replaced these.
The sandwich maker was clean so I can’t comment further on this.
I am very particular in keeping the house extremely clean and tidy and I am sorry you were disappointed. I have asked the cleaners to be vigilant when cleaning and to check all windowsills while vacuuming.

Great - would stay again

Very comfortable beds and effficient heating system (important in Orange!).
Top tips:
It's only a couple of minutes walk to Parrot Gin Distillery - serves beer & wine too, and great pizza.
Badlands craft brewery in the town centre has a great taphouse and awesome beers - well worth a visit.

Weekend Getaway

Unfortunately didn't get to enjoy the outside areas due to rain. Appreciated the pantry items that were provided. NB No internal fireplace although mentioned on listing

We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay despite the rain. Unfortunately you must have misread the amenities. We do state that there is an outdoor fire pit for guests to use but there is no internal fire place listed. The ducted gas heating, however, keeps the house cosy and warm.

Food and Wine Festival in Orange
Publié le 20 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayThree couples stayed in the property, four of us for 10 days. The property is quite central, a nice distance from the main street to enable a decent walk each day.
There was a good supply of utensils and equipment etc, often needed for longer stays. There were cleaning items which is helpful.
The beds were very comfortable but the doona's looked like they needed a clean. The towels were small, thin and we only had one each, which is a problem if you have long hair.
The heating worked very well and there was plenty of hot water with good showers.
The TV's are huge for the size of the rooms they occupy and we had trouble operating them. We couldn't find any instructions.
It was raining a lot the first weekend and we would have preferred to use the back door as we didn't get as wet getting to the car this way, but the key didn't work and we were told not to enter and exit this way.
The back undercover area doesn't look like the picture, the chairs are old and damaged and a bit grubby. The main inside table has a ledge around the outside that is full of crumbs and !!!
There are a lot of plastic plants.
There are a great deal of instructions on what is not allowed at the property; it was a bit like being back at school.

Family get together
