The space
This home has a large master bath and ensuite bathroom/shower, 2 additional bedrooms, a bathroom in the hallway, family room, kitchen and dining room. Outdoor patio has seating for 8 and a fire pit.

Our property offers a unique setup where the upstairs and downstairs are separate living areas. The entrance to your listing is separate from the downstairs entrance, ensuring your privacy during your stay. Please note that there is an internal stairway to the basement, but it is secured with a one-way lock to keep the two living areas separate.

The downstairs basement is occupied by the owner’s daughter and her two roommates. They have their own amenities and do not have access to the upstairs area. This ensures that your space remains private and undisturbed.

Your listing comes with its own set of amenities that are exclusively for your use. This includes a separate laundry facility, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a private bathroom.

As for the outdoor space, the basement tenants have access to a shed behind the home. However, they do not use the backyard when guests are present to respect your privacy. They also OBSERVE QUITE HOURS between 10pm and 8am to ensure a peaceful environment for all.

Key lock on front door allows for self check-in and out.

You'll be able to access all aspects of this 3-bedroom apartment minus a supply closet that will be locked.

There is a $15 additional guest fee per guest after the 4th guest which is automatically included if guest booked for a correct number of guests. If the additional guests will be added after booking, the platform will recalculate and add the additional guest fees.

Other things to note:
1. The City of Orem is constructing a water tower near the home. There is a possibility of noise disruption while they are performing construction during weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.


2. My daughter lives downstairs but you will have access to the whole house. In case of emergency or if you get locked out, you can ask my daughter downstairs if she can open emergency access to get in your unit. FYI - we don't open this access unless it's an emergency only. I can assure you that you're safe and secured and your privacy and security is our top priority.

Nice Getaway
Our daughter goes to BYU and we always need a house to stay in with our 3 other kids. We decided to try this property and were very happy with our stay. No property is perfect but my wife loved how cozy it was and the master bedroom bed she said she hadnt slept that comfortable in months. The fire pit wasnt functional so that was a bummer and the windows and shower doors could use replacement but that was very minor. The water flow was fantastic while taking a shower so it made up for it. The property inside was clean which we appreciated. The back yard needs work but the grass area im sure will be great for a family with kids. Overall i would come back and stay. We watched football together in the living room (BYU and Univ of Colorado) and that experience was amazing having that time together. 5 star experience and highly recommend for those with families or groups.

The place was so nice and cute. We were able as a family to play games at night and do wedding preperations. It was wonderful having a kitchen. The park and school across the street was nice as well. Th AC worked well since it was in the 90's

Great little house, appropriately priced.
There was a lot of thought and details put into making this a great stay. The property was clean and had everything we needed to be comfortable. The location was spot on for us. It was central to everything. There was construction when we arrived, and the property was located on a closed street. Some members of our party had difficulty finding it due to this. The host contacted us to let us know, but the directions were confusing. The beds were nice and well stocked with extra pillows, blankets, etc. The master bed was a bit lumpy and caved in despite the extra foam mattresses and toppers, and my spouse slept on the floor. They did a great job updating the house and making it clean and inviting. The drawers were very old and some were a little tricky to get into. They were working on clearing out the outside of the property of yard debris when we were there, and there was a tenant living in the basement. It is well on its way to being a great property. Thanks for a great stay! Vacation rentals are always better than hotels!

Great stop on our way to southern Utah
We stayed in this home as a quick pit stop to break up the drive to southern Utah. It was just what we needed and the price was unbeatable. My family of six stayed comfortably and the host was very easy to work with.

A quick overnighter on the road
I picked this place bc I couldn’t find any decently priced dog-friendly hotels in the area, & it was a good choice. Good sized yard with shade, fenced (though with a gate in need of improvement to be pet-safe if one has any Houndinis), quiet neighborhood, nice views. Close to some good dining options too.

There was no privacy!
The backyard had a guy that appeared to be staying in a shed and walked back and forth past the windows of the home. The basement houses the hosts daughter. The listing shows a cute patio firepit to be used. The first day of our stay either the daughter or the guy oit back moved the firepit and had fires and sat out there. Road in front of the home was torn up and had large construction vehicles up and down it all.day. We paid way too much money for this place. Would not recommend it with the current situation of others living on the property. Yard needed so much clean up. Weeds everywhere. I did let the host know that we were uncomfortable with the others on the property and couldnt even walk past the window without them being out there. The host had the nerve to tell us we needed to put the garbages out to the curb and bring them back up after the truck dumped them after telling us her daughter was the renter downstairs. Lol. The code they gave us via text to get in didnt work and we were stuck outside at 9:30pm. I called and reached someone that gave me a.completely different code. The first number never worked. Lastly, we were overcharged for the cost of having a pet there. Have stayed at many VRBO and never had this terrible experience.

Nope!
So initially, We parked our vehicles behind the gate as described in the text message and there was a greasy grill that had spilled the grease all over the driveway. Which had been accumulating ants when I sent a picture of this to customer service they asked if I would remove it from the property, that seems a bit much to ask of the person renting the home for the evening after my family went into the home and I went back out to our vehicles to grab some of our luggage. I was quite shocked when two men, exited the storage shed in the backyard which had previously been closed. They made their way from the shed into the middle of the yard and I inquired if they lived on the property and they said one of them and one of them was visiting. Soon after I smelled, the odor of marijuana they could assume from them exiting the storage shed, which had the door previously closed and the smell that they had been smoking marijuana inside the shed. I felt comfortable to let my kids play in the backyard. Let my dog run around the backyard because I didn’t know who these people were. we went inside the residence and stayed there to have dinner short time later. The woman who lives downstairs came around to the backyard. Grab the grill to begin cooking food in the backyard. Then she and the two other males hung out in the storage shed in the backyard late into the evening.

Don’t get your hopes up
Not what we signed up for. Initial listing didn’t say people were living in the basement. The tenant in the basement was always in the backyard shed even when we were there using the backyard. The gate was unable to be locked so our dog couldn’t be left alone. Nosies coming from downstairs at 2/3 am for a few days. Also, we weren’t able to check in until 7:45 pm. When we pulled up there was a Tile guy installing tile in the basement. Overall, not a good experience.
