LAS ALEGRIAS is a spacious, thoughtfully renovated villa. With 4-5 beds/5 bath/1-2 living-rooms it offers contemporary fixtures and fittings; sturdy, handsome furniture; extremely well equipped kitchen; 2 fridge-freezers. Webber Gas BBQ. WiFi/Sat TV using Android/DVD. Extensive, comprehensive Library. Darts/Games.
Large walled/private/gated swimming-pool, child-friendly, with wide terracing and large table seating 10, lots of loungers and chairs, all with cushions. Hammock and swing-chair in large Garden. Outside from Kitchen and Living room is a dining terrace with table for 10, swing-seat and comfy chairs. Upstairs terrace. Plenty of space throughout house and garden to spread yourselves out. Large Car-Port. This house has boundary hedging and shrubbery which enclose a heavenly garden and pool area totally private from the outside world and with SUPERB mountain views.

The air quality is superb. Explore valley river-beds and stunning mountain passes with glorious views. Birds galore. Elusive Mountain Ibex. Walking, biking, pony/horse-trekking. Visit whitewashed, cobbled, Alpujarran Moorish villages. Taste local tapas and wines in the areas' amazing choice of bars/restaurants. Golf courses are easily accessible. 40 mins north lies terrific site-seeing and shopping in Granada, with its unmissable Alhambra Palace and the ski resort above on the highest Spanish mountain range, the Sierra Nevada. 30 mins south lies the Costa Tropical with beaches ranging from secluded coves to large resorts.

Las Alegrias is an idyllic place to enjoy a superbly relaxing holiday. We have worked over the last 14 years to create somewhere you can thoroughly enjoy. We have a delightful Spanish couple looking after the house. Sergio has created a lovely garden and ensures the swimming pool is sparklingly clean. His wife Celia creates a neat, tidy and clean environment for you to feel at home in as soon as you arrive. She buys you a welcome 'pack' of eggs, bread, butter, milk, water, beer and wine so there will be one meal for you in case you arrive after shops have closed. On the wide terrace around the crystal clear, private swimming pool are comfortable loungers, a dining table and lots of chairs. The views all around you are both magnificent and delightful. You can gently swing on the hammock shaded by a cane awning whilst drifting into an after lunch doze, with the sounds of the countryside as your lullaby.

To save you having to drive, you are in walking distance (2 minutes) from a couple of good restaurants where you can have a drink and tapas, order a take-away, or sit and relax with a delicious meal. This makes your life very easy if you don't want to bother cooking or BBQing. Alternatively, a 5 minute drive, or 15 minute stroll up to Orgiva town allows you a large choice of cafes, restaurants and tapas bars.

Magnifique séjour dans cette grande maison très bien aménagée et très bien équipée avec sa très grande piscine et son grand espace de jardin. merci à caroline pour nos echanges et ses nombreuses informations très utiles. Fresh air and amazing view
On arrival we had a problem which was quickly resolved by Sergio,his wife and ourselves. Very likeable people. Location is very nice with a nice view on all sides. We enjoyed nature and fresh air. Ideal for jogging. The pool is large and the water is clean. There is also a door here so that the children cannot enter alone. The villa itself is a bit outdated but cozy and enough space for a large group. Apart from a few small things, we certainly enjoyed our stay and recommend this.

Lovely location
Great location and superb views. The area is lovely. Weather unbeatable. No mosquitos or flies and Orgiva is well serviced with shops and bar/restaurants. The house has got all you need and is very spacious. It needs a bit of update here and there but it's the countryside environment and we loved it. I would have given 5 stars but there was an issue with a nearby youth summer camp that played music at a very high volume, unfortunately. Not every day and not all day. Caroline kindly informed us about this problem just before we went and that they are complaining to the council and police. I do hope this stops the noise. We came back very relaxed and I am sure others will enjoy it as much as we did.

From start to finish our stay at Las Alegrias was wonderful. The garden space, enclosed pool and the exceptional and wide reaching views were simply brilliant. the amount of wildlife we saw was amazing - so happy to even see a hoopoe, alongside various birds, bats and a huge owl! I was in heaven. The house offers a great space that my whole family enjoyed and communication was brilliant. Utterly loved our stay and hope to return. Thank you!

A beautiful home from home in the wonderful Alpujarras
The web listing describes this property perfectly. A comfortablr, spacious , private and well equipped villa set in beautiful grounds. Lovely deep swimming pool and views of the surrounding hills to die for. We have stayed in many other villas with hair raising access roads but this one is a doddle. Just a few hundered yards off the main road into Orgiva along a very well surfaced concrete road. Communication with Caroline, the owner was easy, straightforward and always helpful. There is also a local husband and wife team who look after the pool and house. We are not the fittest of couples but access to Orgiva town was easy. About a half hour walk up the steep concrete road (this was in over 30C heat) and about 15 minutes to get back. Orgiva has all the shops and eating places you will need. The local Consum supermarket has everything you will need in terms of food and drink. No need to travel further. There is no AC in the villa but every room has a fan (which personally I much prefer). The kitchen has everything you will need and there is an excellent gas BBQ on the patio. Obviously in this part of the world, you need to be happy driving on steep and bendy country roads, but the road surfaces were some of the best we have come across. Beautiful interesting villages within half hour drive and Granada less than an hour away.

Hubiese preferido una comunicación mas directa con el propetario para comentarle algunos aspectos referentes a nuestra estancia y a la casa. Hemos estado muy bien exceptuando que en segun que fechas le haria falta aire acondicionado y mas presión en las duchas al igual que recambio de ropa para dormitorios y sofas.

Beautiful Villa with stunning views
We all loved our holiday at the Villa. The beautiful views were even more spectacular than we could have imagined and the villa, garden and pool were gorgeous. Sergie popped in to check the pool. He keeps it immaculate. Enjoyed exploring the surrounding areas and star gazing every night. The Villa had everything we needed and communication with Caroline was fast and very helpful. Wonderful villa and holiday in a spectacular place. Thoroughly recommend!

Beautiful house with amazing pool area
We loved our stay here at Las Allegrias. We were greeted with a welcome pack of lovely food and beer/wine, so much in fact we needn’t have done as much shopping on our way in as we had! The villa was incredibly clean and the choice of bedrooms very versatile for a family of 5 adults. There was everything we needed. Good Wi-Fi, close to Granada for the Alhambra, another day we stopped for a few hours at Pampeneiro which is a beautiful hilltop village well worth a visit, plus we spent a fun day at La Herrudara (coast). Mostly we chilled out around the large pool and I swam a few laps each morning and did a lot of reading lounging by the pool. The views were stunning from the pool and from many of the bedrooms. We played a few rounds of darts each evening and all in all had a relaxing time, exactly what we needed.

Las Alegrias
We had an excellent stay at Las Alegrias - we have been cycling for many years from Orgiva - this is by far the best property we have ever stayed at. There was a huge amount of space, both within Las Alegrias and in the gardens and grounds. The property is well furnished and rooms spacious. The view from the house towards the mountains is beautiful, it’s a very peaceful place to stay for a holiday. There is off road parking for several cars and the lane that leads to Las Alegrias is quiet. The centre of Orgiva is about a 25 minute walk from the house and we found this to be enjoyable. The cycling is excellent here - multiple choices, from high winding climbs to picturesque villages or trips down to the coast. It’s a great place to use for exploring the Sierra Nevada. I/ we would certainly recommend staying here.

A perfect relaxing holiday
The villa is in a perfect location if you want a relaxing break with stunning views. It was so perfect we didn't want to leave. Mountains surround the villa and we watched the sun rise several times which changes the view. The villa was super comfortable and once we had worked out the configuration of rooms, everyone was happy with their choice. Our bed was very comfortable and sleeping was never a problem. The villa is very well equipped and we never needed anything that wasn't available. We had darts competitions after our bbq dinners accompanied by one of the cats that visited. She was very vocal and would just watch what was going on. The gardens are beautiful and so very well looked after as was the pool. We spent everyday out at the pool, it was so relaxing we couldn't get enough of the peace and views. The hammock was also a must for a siesta and was so incredibly comfortable. We visited Camping Orgiva several times which is only a short walk, for drinks and had a couple of meals there. The food was good especially the chicken poke bowl. Overall we all had a fabulously relaxing holiday. The only thing we regret is not booking for longer!

Wonderful week in Órgiva!
Lovely villa with plenty of room for our large family & very well equipped. The pool was spotlessly clean & very welcome after visiting the pretty surrounding villages in the Spanish heat! Órgiva town is a short walk away & has a good selection of places to eat and a couple of well-stocked supermarkets. The booking process was easy & check-in details were very clear. We would definitely like to return - maybe when the weather is slightly cooler so that we can take advantage of the stunning local walks.

Perfect location to get away from it all
We were a multi-generation family (us, my sister, our daughter and my elderly parents) and the house had something for all of us. There are lots of little areas for chilling out, either on your own, or with others. The house is very well equipped and we wanted for nothing. It was so pleasant to eat out on the veranda with the wonderful view of the garden and the mountains. One small issue was resolved before we could even blink! We didn't eat out much but enjoyed it when we did, particularly Restaurante el Limonero in Orgiva. We had a very relaxing time and just enjoyed soaking up the sun, reading and swinging in the hammock.

Stunning views and beautiful garden
We had a great time at Las Alegrías. Especially the kids and teens enjoyed the pool, which was still warm enough in late October. There was enough room in the house for three adults and five kids and the kitchen was well equipped. Thanks, Sergio, for trying to help with the WIFI connection.

Ideal for a relaxing quiet holiday.
Very secluded with amazing views but only a short walk to restaurants serving great food. The villa is very well equipped and having an extra fridge was useful to keep drinks cool.
