Escape to the mountains and experience peace and tranquillity staying at our traditional Spanish cave cortijo in the countryside. As our only guests, you will enjoy a self-contained ensuite bedroom with private entrance and sole use of the detached kitchen, our beautiful plunge pool and various terraces and seating areas. You can enjoy walking, hiking, mountain biking or simply relaxing with uninterrupted mountain views. You may spot ibex, kestrels and eagles near our cortijo if lucky.
As our sole guests, you will enjoy a self-contained area of our Cortijo full of Spanish character with its own separate entrance, which leads straight outside to a variety of exclusive gorgeous patio areas including a stunning turquoise plunge pool with breathtaking 360 mountain views. There is a shaded seating area with a hammock to the right side of the main patio and beyond our amazing pool, there is a detached fully equipped kitchen and dining area with a table and chairs, double ring gas hob, microwave, electric kettle, Tassimo coffee machine, toaster, fridge, gas BBQ, cutlery, crockery and a cold water sink. There are additional seating areas on our lower terraces with amazing views.
At our cave casa, guests will enjoy sole, exclusive use of the variety of inside and outside areas including our plunge pool. We also live on the property but we are very quiet, discrete people and respect the privacy of our guests but can be on hand if needed. We maintain the patio areas and pool before 8am each morning. We do have much loved pets however, Bryn our Border Collie dog and Tigs our Spanish rescue cat, both are friendly but kept away from guests as much as is possible.
Other things to note
If you love walking, hiking, mountain biking, wildlife, star-gazing and wish to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, our cortijo is perfect for your stay. Being a half cave cortijo, the style is traditional and rustic however occasionally, a little dust is inevitable even shortly after cleaning but this adds to the charm of Spanish rural life. Due to our rural location, the last 1.3km to our casa is a dirt track. Very rarely does it happen but worth mentioning, we get flooding on the rambla near our track when there is extreme heavy rain but we can assist with access problems when this happens.
