Relaxing getaway

The home was decorated nicely and was well-laid out, especially for older folks like ourselves. My husband enjoyed the fishing area and was very pleased with the dock. There were historical places in both Oriental and New Bern, which also provided nice restaurants. We would stay here again. Thank you.

Exceeded Expectations
Publié le 15 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThe house does not give the feel of a beach or lake home because of the older design and layout however the location and tranquil setting was fantastic and more than made up for the feel of the home. All the neighbors were very welcoming and friendly and made us feel at home. Wished the home was available for the two weeks we were staying in the area.

Oriental Getaway
Publié le 22 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayThis is a great place to stay in Oriental for a group. Very private place right on the water with a nice little dock and an amazing view. Plenty of space inside and out to relax and enjoy. The screened-in porch was great when the skeeters came out; otherwise, we spent most of our time sitting on the dock in the Adirondack chairs. We had the most beautiful sunset one evening, everyone was sure we had photoshopped it. We also saw a red fox, deer, jelly fish, dolphins, and blue crabs. Will definitely stay here next time we visit.

Girl's Getaway

This weekend was all about us relaxing and taking care of ourselves. The view was wonderful and beds SO comfortable. There were a couple of minor cleaning issues which we shared with the management company so that they could address with their cleaners. We had a relaxing time and the home was beautiful.
