A great vacations!!!

We rented for seven days and we enjoyed every single day. The whole family enjoyed the pool. We visited four Disney Parks, and relax the rest of the days. Thanks Robert,

Small issue with pool heating on arrival, no fault of owner, who sorted the problem as quick and efficiently as possible. Lovely quiet and relaxing location

Gem of a Swimming Pool

Very nice and more than enough space for us all. Only we reason I wouldn't stay here again is because there are other parts of the USA we would like to visit. Any issues we did have were quickly resolved by Robert whose communication was excellent.

This rental was very clean, with comfortable beds and furniture! It was equipped with everything we needed while there! Pictures and listing information is very accurate and communication was great!

Wonderful and Relaxing Home

Our family vacationed at this villa at the end of June and had a wonderful time. The home is beautiful, very clean, and had everything we needed during our stay. The pool was great and private unlike some of the other properties we have rented in the past. The whole family enjoyed it. The owner, Robert, is very nice and responded to our concerns and questions quickly. He also gave helpful advices about the area, the parks, etc... We will definitely stay at Pleasant Oak Villa in the future, and will recommend it to others.

It’s fine

The villa has a nice, warm pool and fit a larger family. The additional green space in the back provides privacy and neighbors didn’t seem to be bothered by music and children playing. However, we encountered problems with several items - grill, WiFi, and bugs. Although each was handled quickly (new grill, additional router information, exterminator), our vacation was inconvenienced and the bugs never went away. Unfortunately, the bugs were found in smaller bathroom and on the kitchen counters. The property manager recaulked the bathroom floor and left cleaning supplies, but several newly purchased food items had to be tossed and remaining items stored in plastic bins for the second half of our stay. Toothbrushes and other toiletries had to be kept off the bathroom counter. The owner requires a second communication platform for information and payment. The additional communication platform resulted in a significant charge not disclosed on vrbo for pool heating. Raised issues always resulted in “pandemic” excuse - you can tell a deep cleaning is overdue. The house manual was outdated and newer information was emailed after the first few days. The house *no longer* includes recycling (even though the printed manual and dry erase board in the home reference it). The game room is a nice idea, but retains heat and has no airflow without keeping the door to the house open causing the house to warm. The patio furniture is rusted and falling apart. A big concern is the front door as it can’t be locked from the inside. This is unsafe and a huge safety concern for young children that can reach and easily open the door unattended. We had to block the door each night to sleep with ease. All marketing references an easy 15 minute drive to Disney. This is absolutely false. The traffic and construction doesn’t allow for it - even late at night or early in the morning, the drive took a minimum of 30 minutes. Lastly, the communication style of owner is not preferred and increased dissatisfaction with home.

This is very disappointing to us. We want all guests to have a great time in our villa but some cause problems for themselves, blame others and can never be satisfied. It is impossible to fully respond to all these wrong and misleading claims in this space, so we have details, photos and videos proving the inaccuracy of the guest’s comments and invite anyone interested to contact us for further information. For the most part, this guest didn’t read our detailed guest and property information sent a week prior to arrival. When predictable issues arose, we simply resent the exact same info they previously ignored. They embarrass themselves claiming we hadn’t sent it earlier, despite our system records proving they received it. We never surprise guests with undisclosed charges. Please fully read our listing prior to booking. We do appreciate the guest’s positive comments about some of the great aspects of our property, and the lightning fast response they received to their litany of complaints. Prior to their arrival, we had other guests and no less than 6 other individuals in for cleaning and maintenance tasks. NOT ONE reported bugs. If so, we would have people in removing them so fast and thoroughly, you wouldn’t believe it. Our PM and an exterminator found NO bugs, but rotting fruit left out. We made multiple trips to satisfy their concerns, performing various service miracles, but found no bugs. Later, the guest left other unsealed food out and wanted a refund for it… because it had bugs in it! When asked when and where it was purchased, they “won’t be interrogated”. If you’re having a bug problem, store food away properly, take out garbage daily, and don’t let dirty diapers accumulate! After departure the villa was cleaned, made ready for guests who arrived the same day and stayed for a week. Two cleaners, their manager, the PM and her husband, have all been at the house since those guests left, and we have other new guests in now. And NO ONE has seen any bugs! Our properties are pet free, and this guest should have left theirs at home! The front door is always locked, but may be opened by anyone from the inside for safety reasons. If desired, the house alarm system can be set to chime and alert adults instantly when the door is opened. The balance of their comments are equally groundless. We admit thorough, helpful, detailed communications are annoying to those who can’t or don’t like to read… and we don’t supply crayons for them to respond. Thankfully the vast majority of our guests are clean, intelligent, nice people who appreciate our attention to detail and extensive efforts to care for and assist them! If that’s you, we look forward to welcoming you soon!

The place was as described. Had problems with internet first 3 days that we were there. Only had Roku TV with no on time local TV channels. Wouldn't stay there again too many emails from owner.

Thank you again for staying with us Liza. 1) Internet services are provided by a 3rd party, free for our guests, at our expense. Frontier Communications chose to replace their ONTerminal, as it wasn't working properly, for the first time in eight years since owning the property. Your comments don't reflect the herculean task of getting this diagnosed, and the hours of work we completed (beside's Frontier) in the absolute fastest time possible to minimize inconvenience to you. We can't be responsible for 3rd party services, and your understanding is appreciated. 2) The April, 2020 bankruptcy of our former Cable provider means that old-style cable services are no longer available at the villa. We invested those funds in faster internet service. The Hulu+ TV Streaming service that we pay for and provide to our guests, free of charge on all TVs, provides over 2500 tv series and movies PLUS the following LOCAL LIVE channels; WFTV9-ABC, abc Localish, News6, Fox35Orlando, myTV, WESH2-NBC, Telemundo31, and CW; in addition to 12 live News Channels, 15 live Sports Channels, plus others, for a total of 71 LIVE channels. If any of our guests are having trouble accessing it, a quick email or phone call will get all the assistance you need to enjoy this service, plus our website and Online Home Manual & Area Guide App provide full details as well. 3) With regard to a lot of emails... I must plead guilty as charged. We DO send a lot of emails to our guests, with the intent of being helpful only, and providing full & complete information on their stay & how to make the best of it. We also provide a complete website, an Online Home Manual & Area Guide, and also an offline smart phone APP version so our guests always have it with them, PLUS guests receive my personal home and cell phone numbers, AND we provide free calling in North America from the villa so help is always at hand. All of these are not meant to be burdensome, only helpful and supportive. I do understand that for some folks, particularly those who don't like to read, it can appear a bit much. Plus if a guest books last-minute they'll get a big information dump in a short period of time. It's hard to balance being helpful & complete against too much info, but we really do try. During their stay, guests are left alone to enjoy it & we only send a thank-you. Our pre-arrival information consistently wins enthusiastic praise in reviews, so hopefully we're achieving this goal the majority of the time! :)

So relaxing!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The house is nice and well kept. It was fully stocked with everything we needed and we were very comfortable. The pool was the highlight of my trip, we spent many hours out by the pool. Our host was very informative and we had all the info we needed for a smooth check in and check out process.
