A beautiful well equipped home in the Highlands Reserve. Convenient to all adventure parks, shops and restaurants. You won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend.

Perfect getaway

We stayed for 2 weeks and had a wonderful time! The worst part of the trip is when we had to leave..

Great vacation

Everything was great. The stove probably needs to be replaced. I en cooked very slow and only burner front left worked the best. The other burners took forever. Everything else was fantastic

Hi Dianne. Delighted that everything was great. Nit sure what happened with the stove and burners- as we had it checked out very recently - but apologies it didn't happen for you. I suspect I need to put in better instructions - appreciate the "heads up." I hope that made the most out of all the new improvements we put into the house. We especially had fun with the new Pac Man and Paw Patrol Arcade games !! :) They have so many retro style fun games to play!!

Florida Holiday March 2024

It could be a great house but in all honesty it is tired. On the positive side as you walk in the main full height sitting room and dining table are impressive and the suite in there is in good condition. The pool and hot tub are great. It was also nice to be given the tennis court and main pool key as often this takes time to sort out. On the downside. - The downstairs toilet wouldn't fully flush ... so waste just circled. It would then would not refill. The management company said they'd fix this after we left. - The shower curtain rail, hooks and sink lights were rusty. That doesn't feel very 'executive' - Carpets throughout, but particularly on the stairs needed, cleaning. - The living area suite is very saggy and could benefit from being cleaned or replaced. - So could the rug. - Mattresses on all the beds were saggy and some had cut foam on top, not covered other than the bedsheet which didn't feel hygienic. The pillows were the thinnest I've ever seen. The bedding & towels were tired. - I have stayed on Highlands 30+ times but this was the first time I was bitten, all over. It could have been from the pool area where the mesh cover had come away from the frame or elsewhere. - The Kitchen was OK but the units had been badly repainted and the dishwasher was so old it had turned yellow ... but it worked fine. It could be a great house but needs money spending either on deep cleaning or on some more extensive refurbishment.

I’ve waited a good period of time to reply to this review. Having spent six weeks during our summer updating and revitalising and deep cleaning all areas of the house - I was so concerned that somehow I had missed something really obvious and really bad. Having just arrived back at Florida in July 2024 what I’ve actually discovered is that the house remains what it has always been - that is *immaculate* in every respect. I trust travellers to be able to *tell* and read between the lines when a reviewer is being fair or being totally disingenuous. I can give a firm and solemn reassurance that this particular reviewer was being almost completely mean and nasty towards the house and towards us. (The toilet reference was fair - and has been fixed.) A traveller might ask why someone would choose to do so? Perhaps I could explain that this person - who genuinely has been to Florida over 30 times - is a former owner on Highlands Reserve. She makes it sound like she compares our house with 30 separate and different locations - and that the comparison is unfavourable. In actual fact she only compares it with her own former house. This person knows the power of unfavourable reviews and surveys. So when she asks for “freebies” and doesn’t get them - for example - free extended stay in the final day (late check out) which wasn’t granted (we had a back to back booking) she knew how to *punish* us for turning down that request as she understands the system. I have no doubt that she know that the dishwasher is cream coloured from new and that the retro style rug was recently washed and immaculate. That the settees were thoroughly deep cleaned shortly before her stay. We count ourselves very fortunate to have had delightful visitors to the villa who have given fair and balanced reviews - which potential guests can see are almost always 5 stars. Fair minded potential guests can see that we had 5 star reviews shortly before and shortly after this visitor? What changed? Just the visitor! The huge majority of our guests are so kind, thoughtful and careful - as are we. Of course potential visitors would expect me to say that we are fair, kind, thoughtful, generous and supportive hosts. We genuinely aim to and succeed in *doing the right thing* - however, this includes not being effectively blackmailed into providing substantial free extras *or else* as we operate in a world which is as fair as we can make it - and this is simply *not fair and not kind* We welcome visitors warmly with a truly wonderful, beautiful and immaculately clean property. How do I know? Because a) I’ve seen it for myself - and b) we have repeat guests throughout the year who tell us. My final comment on this visitor is this. How many reviews of this length and intensity of pure nastiness have you previously seen? I believe that it’s very nature speaks for itself to the fair minded. Very many thanks to potential guests who have read this response

Great stay

Excellent host. We enjoyed every minute of staying at this beautiful villa. location is good, although maybe a little too far from the parks for us. very peaceful neighbourhood and right on top of highlands reserve golf course. we stayed in October, and would recommend pool heating as we found it chilly. thanks to joe for being a great host. I’d say only one minor issue being the oven, it takes forever to get to temp and doesn’t hold temperature very well meaning it takes forever to cook your dinner.

Satisfactory stay but updates needed

Stay was okay but the place has a lot of minor things that need to be touched up. Mast bed frame was broke/had loose fittings and clanked against the wall. Beds in almost every room were pretty uncomfy for everyone (this is more of a subjective comment, but the foam egg padding didn’t really help). Found dried blood on the railing, the master bedroom had kids toys, an Allen wrench, and candy still in the carpet. The master bath shower didn’t drain properly/drained slowly. Blinds in almost all of the rooms were falling off/in need of repair. No light in the refrigerator and we had to fix a clog in the ice maker. Just the overall cleanliness to the rating prior didn’t really add up. We understand we had early check-in, but we were told it was okay because there was no one there before us. Tv remotes for TVs in master bed, living room, and one of the kids room are in need of repair/replacing as buttons are worn out and don’t work.

A disappointing - but completely expected review. I trust travellers to see through reviews - and suffice to say - when free pool heat and hot tub were not offered - this was the "punishment" that, unfortunately, we knew to expect. Please compare with all of our other reviews. I'm sorry to say a fundamental lack of honesty here - but that is, sadly and very occasionally, life as a villa owner!! :)

Vacation to remember

If you are going on vacation with kids this house is one of the best places! Tons of games and toys for all ages. The pool was incredibly clean as was the house itself. In the words of my eight year old son this was the best vacation house we stayed in!

A wonderful vacation home!

We had an excellent stay at this vacation home. The house is very spacious and slept 8 people very comfortably with room to spare! It is in a great location - not too far from wherever we wanted to go but far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. Communication with the owner was absolutely fabulous. I would certainly recommend this home!
