Avis Family Resort - 5BR Luxury Home - Private Pool, Hot Tub And BBQ!

Our overall impression of the house was good. Unfortunately, the start of our vacation was very stressful due to complications with making the payment for the deposit. Upstay kept sending us links that would not work. They were telling us it was our bank that we need to call. We called our bank. Bank told us that it was not them, but it was upstays issue. When speaking with upstay, they told us that they will not let us into the house until they received the deposit. We asked them if they could just charge our credit card. They were not friendly or helpful at all and this went on the night before we were supposed to come and was not resolved until roughly 3 hours before we were supposed to get access to the house. We have still not received our deposit back in our bank account as promised. We have connected with them and are hoping to get it within the next week. It has been 11 business days since we have been home. The house was great, but I will never rent another house through upstay ever again. home.

I have stayed in solterra a half dozen or so times and have been more or less pleased with every house I’ve stayed in. This property was definitely among the nicer ones as it had clearly been extensively renovated recently. Everything inside was well cleaned and in excellent condition, enough plates cups towels and things of that nature for our family of five. There are a couple of things that weren’t ideal, neither of which were deal breakers by any means This property manager operates mostly outside of VRBO so I needed to download a new app and become familiar with it. This isn’t a huge deal but I wasn’t made aware of this untill I was waiting in my terminal to board my flight to Orlando, paired with that the property had issues getting me the front door code, we were initially unable to get into the property but after a brief phone call it was remedied, just a hassle after a long day of travel and tired children, the helpline was however extremely polite and helpful, and fixed it quickly but it was an oversight on their end that could have been prevented. The other issue and this isn’t something that is easily fixed is the property backs up to the main road of solterra right by the clubhouse, so the noise pollution can be a lot at times, not something the property can do a lot about but something worth nothing if you are hoping to lay quietly by the pool, maybe not ideal, but for us with kids playing, not a big deal. Overall this was an excellent stay 4.9/5

Great house and location. It is perfect with the waterpark at Solterra right behind the house, we walked over in about 3 minutes. We paid extra to have the house pool and hot tub heated and it was worth it. It was amazing. We will definitely use this house again in the future.

We enjoyed our stay since it was a family reunion. The place was nice but not as great as some I have stayed in at Solterra. We HIGHLY recommend the owner installs ceiling fans in the bedrooms or allows the ac to be brought down below 72. It tends to get a little warm at night with no air circulating. There were very few towels overall including pool towels (only 2). For a house that can hold 11, I find that is a bit lacking. We also had to wash some of the sheets first since they smelled musty as if they had not been used nor recently washed. Same with the dishes(dusty) and some of the kitchen tools(can opener, wine opener) were non functional. Overall the house is roomy and very nice, but those little things make it less than perfect. The pool and Jacuzzi were great!

This property was a fantastic place to stay. A very large home with lots of amenities. The pool we had heated and the Jacuzzi which were fantastic. The overall location was very convenient. The clubhouse pool slides and lazy river were a fantastic addition to our trip. We really enjoyed this house and plan on staying again.
