Excellent location! Owners are very attentive! The cabin is perfect for 1-2 people that don't need much space. Nice alternative for people who enjoy a low key private area. Firepit is located directly outside cabin for convenience. This is our go-to place!

Disappointed.
Publié le 12 août 2024 sur HomeAwayDid NOT get to stay. When we arrived at 4:15 (check-in 4:00) the cottage had not been cleaned and dirty towels, dirty bedding stacked in tub and bed. Most of the day is lost with a 4:00 check-in and then the owner said it would be about an hour and 20 minutes before the cleaner could get there... if she was willing to turn around and come back to clean it. She offered our money back and we accepted. Also, owner got snippy with me when I asked what do we do now while I was disappointed to have wasted the entire day waiting for this cottage. She made me feel like it was my fault the cottage wasn't ready. I have a pet - how long can I sit in the car with my pet waiting for the cottage to be cleaned?
AND, two weeks later I still have not gotten a total refund as promised.

Property needs help

It looks like they are trying to do some repairs but , we stepped out of the car and right into some wet clay, sewage I don't know what it was but we spent an hour cleaning our shoes ...we didn't know what to expect on our first day so we brought food to warm up....when we tried the microwave it blew the fuses in the place ! So we wasted the food we brought.The bathroom light never worked ...we left after one night

Ouch, 2 stars hurts. We take pride is giving guest a much better experince than you recieved. I wish you would have let us know about these issues during your stay we would have addressed them imeadatly or moved you to a cabin with a kitchen. The goop that you steppen in was left by the gas company moving the main gas lin to make way for the Iron-Belle bike path. The area and hole are now filled and cleaned up. We are sorry this affected your stay but we had no control over the timing It's going to be very nice to have a safe place to ride or walk in to Oscoda. Note I did replace the light bulb in the bathroom but was unable to replicate the microwave tripping the circut breaker, we have a replacement on site. -Tim
