Chalet du Bickenberg in Osenbach near Colmar - playground - shared pool

The Bickenberg chalet has been completely renovated with quality natural materials and organic products with a concern for authenticity, aesthetics and refinement.
Fully enclosed, nestled in lush greenery and sheltered from view, it offers an exceptional private space.
We backed a large wooden terrace and a south-facing pergola, which shelters a large table and sun loungers year-round.
An outside shower sheltered from view will refresh you between two sunbathing. The cabin at the bottom of the garden and its play area will delight children.
Also take advantage of the hammock under the trees to take a nap.
The owners' large shared swimming pool is located opposite the chalet. You just have to cross the street, the garden and climb the small staircase to access the swimming area. Another access is suitable for people with reduced mobility.

Amazing peacefull experience
We had a great stay in the amazing Chalet. It had all we needed - great terraces for all occasions, sun/shadow. It was wonderful that the house was fully equipped, so we didn't have to bring anything. The pool is THE BEST we have ever tried. The site around it was so well kept and beautiful. We will definitely come back again.

Amazing Alsace get away
We had a wonderful time at the Chalet, which is every bit as beautiful as the photographs suggest, and with stunning views from the property and the pool as well. The chalet is cosy, decorated to spectacular standard with special touches to find everywhere you look, even on the grounds. Our children enjoyed the play area with the slide and little house and especially the gorgeous pool only a short walk away, shared with one other chalet. It was never busy and it was always clean with free loungers to relax. Frederic and Simone are such welcoming hosts, on hand with as much help and advice as you need but never intrusive. They offered great tips for the region and provided everything you need on the property, plus a generous welcome gift! We will miss waking up to views of the hills and the fresh country air! Would thoroughly recommend staying here to explore the Alsace and all it has to offer - the Chalet is in easy drive of theme parks, the fabulous summer luge at Le Markstein, Colmar and Mulhouse, nature parks, castles, lakes, walks, there is so much to explore and more we could have done! The weather was a little changeable this summer but the Chalet is a suntrap on sunny days and is comfy and cosy when you need to be inside - a great home from home whatever the weather.

Lovely location and chalet
We thoroughly enjoyed the chalet. It had everything we needed for our week's stay. It was lovely and cozy, so cute with it decorations of gingerbread men,hearts, toadstools etc. The outside space is gorgeous, a pity we could not make the most of it due to the weather. The underfloor heating kept us lovely and cozy and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was very clean and tidy. Plenty of room for us. The family who own it are on hand and very helpful with knowledge of the area. They booked us a table at a lovely restaurant for lunch for the day after we arrived. We would recommend Alsace as a place to visit, very pretty. The view from the chalet over Osenbach was stunning. Some nice walks too. As I said the only thing that was a problem was the weather, but we made the most of it, and enjoyed snuggling down in the coziness of the chalet when it was very bad. We would certainly recommend it.

Christmas in a cosy idyllic Alsace chalet
This beautiful wood chalet has everything you could need, fabulous interior and exterior decor, warm floors, every convenience is thought of. Lovely walks, magnificent scenery and all you might want to do easy to get to. A boulangerie in the village and more shops only a few minutes drive away. Our stay over Christmas was fun shopping for our French Christmas dinner with a beautiful Bouche Noel from the specialist bakery in Soultzmatt and a lovely wrapped veal joint from the bucher in the same village. We felt very spoilt. We even picked our own mistletoe. This was a magical Christmas - a little snow would have made it even more perfect! Thank you Frederic and Simone for letting your beautiful house in Osenbach I am sure we will be back.

Wonderful peaceful location
Can’t praise the chalet or owners enough, first rate stay. Place was very clean and exactly as described, if anything was even better in real life than the description and pictures online showed. Owners were on hand to show us around the property and give us helpful hints about the local area (restaurants, shopping etc) and we had a wonderful stay. Charming and tranquil chalet in a wonderful location
We stayed at Chalet Bickenburg this January 2016 and had an amazing stay. The owners are extremely helpful and on hand nearby if needed. The owners have done an amazing job in equipping the chalet in a modern and very comfortable style, but maintaining the charm that one might expect with a mountain chalet. There certainly has been a lot of thought, attention and detail in providing clients with everything you could need, from the wood for the wood burner, to quality pots and pans and so on. As we were travelling with an infant, we were really pleased with the lovely cot, highchair and baby bath provided too. The location of the property is fabulous. It is tranquil and quiet, nestled in a small village very close to the Routes du Vin of Alsace, yet only moments from amenities, including a boulangerie/'corner' shop 1 minute from the property. There is a larger Carrefour supermarket only 5 minutes away also. It is also very convenient for the major road network in the region too. All in all we had a wonderful stay at Chalet Bickenburg and we hope we can visit the area again and stay at the chalet in the future.

TRES BON SEJOUR
Nous avons passé une belle semaine dans ce très charmant chalet confortable et décoré avec soin. Tres belle piscine ! Propriétaires disponibles, sympathiques et très discrets. La région est magnifique et la maison est située dans un cul de sac allant vers de belles promenades, donc situation parfaite. Seul petit bémol, il manquait une clôture, nous avons donc dû attacher notre chien fugueur. Mais ce sera très certainement vite corrigé par les propriétaires.

Very cozy & nice chalet (all seasons suitable)
Everything you need for a lovely holiday and stay in the Alsace is in place. The village is located in the Vallée Noble, rural, green and peaceful. Within 5 minutes of Soultzmatt, where you can find more shops and restaurants. Or with your MTB nice trials to discover in to the fields and mountains. The chalet is a lovely place to stay at all seasons. A fireplace inside and two different terraces outside of the chalet. All the things you used to have at home are available and in case needed, the host lives across the street, you only have to ask. Bed, bath & kitchen linen ready to use, beds are made and a lovely kougelhopf is waiting for you!

Charming home, great place to spend the holidays
Our family spent Christmas here and loved our stay. The chalet is nice with lots of amenities - we were even able to do fondue one night. There were good trails nearby for walks, and close proximity to other towns and stores. And the hosts were responsive and friendly. Would stay again and highly recommend

Ein wunderbarer Urlaub
Ein liebevoll eingerichtetes Haus, mit einem großartigen Pool in einer sehr abwechslungsreichen Gegend. Wir haben den Urlaub sehr genossen. Wandern, Fahrrad fahren, durch hübsche Weindörfer schlendern oder Straßburg, Freiburg besuchen. Wir hatten super Wetter und nicht die Notwendigkeit uns viel im Haus aufzuhalten. Ansonsten könnte es für 2 Familien (8 Personen) etwas eng werden. Anzumerken ist außerdem, dass der Pool auch von den Gästen des Nachbarchalets genutzt wird. Das war für uns aber kein Problem, da der Pool wirklich groß und traumhaft angelegt ist. Frederic ist zudem ein super netter und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber.
