Lovely lake getaway
Publié le 23 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayOur stay was a very relaxing experience. The owners were very quick to respond to any of our questions and concerns. We did misread the listing and thought the house faced the lake in some way, but it's actually across the street (a very small street mind you) so it was a very quick walk to the actual lake.
This is a lived in home so there are personal items like family photos around the place. The place was very clean and tidy, however it is an older home so it has its quirks.
It felt like we were kayaking on our very own personal small lake so it was peaceful. The lake had quite a bit of algae mostly near the shore but the kids did swim a tiny bit in the middle of the lake. The lake was about to be drained and cleaned which I imagine will take a few years to get back to normal. However, the house was in the process of getting an above ground pool so we're excited to stay again in the future.

Family Reunion
Publié le 25 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe loved our family getaway to the cabin. The hosts were very responsive and had everything you could need. Unfortunately the lake was drained for our visit, but we had plenty to do around the cabin and took a nice hike around the lake. Well be back!

Great cabin!
Publié le 24 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe stayed here with 3 other couples and it was perfect for us. The patio was gorgeous and great for morning coffee and conversations. Beds were all comfortable. Would definitely stay here again! Hosts were great!

Great Iowa Cabin Getaway Spot

The cabin was very clean when we arrived and the hosts seemed to have thought of everything to make the stay perfect! We enjoyed the large living spaces to spread out, along with all of the amenities like the pool, ping pong, pool table, board games, bikes, firepit, etc. The icing on the cake would have been with Lake Keomah being available for use, but we went to the White Oak Lake about 12 minutes away for some great fishing. We will be back!

Great location for weekend getaway with friends

Celebrating our parents 50th anniversary
Publié le 18 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a wonderful stay in this beautiful cabin near Lake Keomah! The family rooms were perfect for our multi-generational family to play games and have quality time together. The table in the dining room fit us all for lovely meals together, the hot tub was a treat to enjoy in the cool evenings and mornings, and we had lots of fun taking the kayaks on the lake. There is a nice walking path around the lake that several of our group enjoyed. We mistakenly thought we would be directly on the lake so please note it is a short walk to the lake front but easily accessible. Swimming in the lake is also restricted to the beach only (and when we visited the beach was a bit overgrown with algae) so we ended up going into the pool in town one hot afternoon to cool off. The cabin is filled with sweet touches: toys for kids, books for everyone to enjoy, games, pool, etc. Huge thank you to Missy for accommodating our group with early check-in AND late check-out! It made our trip much more enjoyable to not need to rush and we were able to take our time. We loved our stay at this cabin by the lake!!

Great Family Rental

It was perfect for our large group and we all really loved the house. It was easy to contact Missy and she responded in a timely matter. We would definitely rent this property again. ❤️

Great Lake Vacation
Publié le 18 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayThe cabin by the lake is great for family fun! The kids loved playing on the water with the kayaks and the pedal boat. We got to enjoy fishing, hiking, and lots of bike rides.

Weekend stay
