The hotel and the staff was excellent on my 3 day stay. Beautiful park across the road was also very nice

Nice, but inadequate elevator
Posted Aug. 8, 2024 on HotelsI had a broken ankle at the time, and was unable to use the stairs. There was only one very small elevator, and I often had to wait 5+ minutes to use it, especially during breakfast rush. For a hotel of its size, and for such a high price, it seemed really inadequate. For anyone with mobility issues, be advised.

I recommend this hotel very good breakfast variety
And good staff accept wifi doesn't work

Very good hotel it's in the city centre you have all you need anything near the breakfast delicious very good staff except the Wi-Fi doesn't work

Hotel is a little tired but it is old and unique. Very nice buffet breakfast. Super friendly staff and area was awesome.

We stayed one night over a weekend for a family trip to explore Oslo. We selected this hotel because of the excellent walking location to downtown landmarks and shopping. The included breakfast was incredible and the hotel staff’s service was top notch.
Parking is a challenge - it’s not on-site and they do not have valet. You have to check in then drive to the nearest garage a few blocks away (cost $58 USD for 24 hours). Our room was nice but had some dysfunction. The bathroom has a step up that you could easily trip on in the middle of the night and there isn’t a counter to put toiletries upon.
The reason for my 4 star review instead of 5 was the excessive nighttime noise from the adjacent nightclub. We were awakened by loud bass coming through the walls that lasted over 2 hours. From what I’ve read on other reviews, this is not an isolated incident and they have tried to mitigate sound as best as possible. One solution may be to provide disposable earplugs on the nightstand for guests like they do in downtown Nashville hotels.

Great location within walking disdance of most attractions and good restaurants.
Hotel was very nicely decorated and the room was a reasonable size for the price.

We were immediately impressed by the lovely staff who greeted us and the impressive chandelier of musical instruments in the front lobby. The room was large and very comfortable. The dinner in the restaurant was toasty and the breakfast provided had so many choices. Bar tender was very friendly and qualified.
