Amazing property and location

A week above the clouds...
Posted Feb. 3, 2024 on HomeAwayMy wife and I decided to take a break from our regular wintertime views and spent a week at this beautiful property. I can't ever remember when I spent more looking out the windows or off the deck at the amazing views and in awe at the cloud formations playing out below and around us! Mule deer, California Bighorn Sheep, bush bunnies, and a variety of winter birds were also spotted and enjoyed. The suite is very comfortable and roomy with a surprising selection of culinary accoutrements. (Teas, quality coffee, spices, condiments, etc.) In short order the place became a home away from home and the 12 km drive to/from town was something we looked forward to...feeling sometimes sorry for those trapped under the fog at lake level, while we were in residence above the clouds! (Hosts were warm and welcoming and their living nearby absolutely did not impact our stay.) We are already making plans to return again...

We are thrilled that you loved the view and got to see the wildlife (especially the Bighorn Sheep)! We wanted our space to truly feel like home which means it has to have all the cooking gear (condiments, spices, small appliances galore) and especially tea and coffee. We are currently staying at a vacation rental ourselves and it has 4 tea bags for 4 days stay and NO coffee et alone quality coffee. We look forward to hosting you again! Karen & Herman

Beautifully Quiet with Stunning Views
Posted Oct. 8, 2023 on HomeAwayWe were there for five nights and although there were some challenges with the TV signal, the beds were super comfy and it was lovely and quiet which we are used to. We had deer visiting and a brief visit from a young black bear. This property is slightly out of the way but so worth it if you like a quiet place to stay. The suite itself was so well appointed. There was nothing that we needed that wasn't there.

Thank you for staying with us and glad you liked the wildlife (although the garbage wasn't picked up at the usual hour on our street that day and I suspect that is why the bear came sniffing about as it's very unusual)! Re the internet connectivity, we had recently signed up for 5G so called the provider as technically the service should be even better than it was (which was no problem before). So thank you for letting us know. We'd love to have you back! (and thanks also for the lovely note left in our Guest Book!). Karen & Herman

Mountain hide-away
Posted Aug. 17, 2023 on HomeAwayThis is one of the best equipped suites we stayed at and the vista is incredible. We truly enjoyed staying there and hope to be back soon. It is peaceful and relaxing and we loved seeing three deers coming by in the evening and having the dark skies and actually seeing satellites go by and naming constellations.

Awesome View
Posted Jul. 23, 2023 on HomeAwayAwesome view. Very clean, Quiet location. Enjoyed the wildlife. Lots of room for the three of us. Enjoyed the car port- car always cool even on very hot days.
House was cool even on hot days - enjoyed not having an air conditioner.

Quiet, beautiful, roomy, comfortable home away from home.
Posted Jun. 18, 2023 on HomeAwaySuite overlooks Osoyoos Lake from Anarchist Mountain location. Very quiet at night, with lovely breezes to help one cool off. Suite is very comfortable and spacious, with pretty much anything you might need for cooking, creature comfort, relaxing with books, tourist literature, or games. It is a unique experience quite different from the more common Osoyoos tourist choice of booking at a hotel on the main drag by the lake.

A wonderful stay on Anarchist Mountain

Where a week’s vacation actually felt like two!
Posted Sep. 28, 2022 on HomeAwayThe best week ever! This is exactly what we were hoping for- away from town but still close enough. In one week we came away feeling relaxed and fulfilled. The space was big, clean, quiet and the perfect hub from which to adventure around the southern Okanagan.
This might not matter to some but if you are used to sleeping with king sized pillows it’s a big deal to have them available to you and they were! A very welcome touch.
