The space
The Alpine Cottage is a magical place to be able to explore Arthur's Pass National Park day walks, with the best tracks only minutes away from the front door.

Explore the mountain bike trails of the area or skiing at the five nearby fields or just be inspired by the scenery.

Internet is available for free.

There is cell phone reception.

The kitchen is well stocked with all the kitchenware you might need. Utensils, cups, bowls, plates, wine glasses, sharp knives, pots and pans, an electric jug, a coffee maker, a toaster, a fridge, a stove and oven.

Pet friendly but please, no cats (because of the birds)

The bathroom has a shower, a hand basin and a toilet.

It has its own wood fire for winter warmth.
Firewood is in the small shed next to your Hut

The train passes at times and can be noisy

Bring insect repellent, torch, toilet paper. Fire Lighters and Matches
There are Sand Flies in the area, they are busiest before rain fall

There are no shops in Otira, so bring food.
There is a shop in Kumara, 43 min, or Arthurs Pass Village 15 min, or Moana 35 min.

There are no theme parks so bring your own entertainment.
