Publié le 6 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe location is good, but if you have 6 adults the one room with twin beds is pretty uncomfortable. The rocking chair toilet offers a unique experience. The kitchen was well stocked and the dining room table is perfect for 6. Overall good experience.

Really sorry to hear about your toilet experience, this is the first hearing about it. Unfortunately, we were not notified of this issue during your stay October 3rd - October 6th until October 20th when you submitted your review. We host other guests throughout the year, so it would have been beneficial to let us know so that we could schedule a repair before other guests had to experience the rocking chair toilet you mentioned.
As far as the twin beds, our listing is always accurate and up to date, stating three twin beds amongst the six bed total.

Hiking at Starved Rock State Park

Lovely clean home in sweet neighborhood

Short vacation

Great place for 2 couples or less the house is not set up for more than four adults.

The problem comes where it’s listed as a three bedroom or more and that they can sleep up to 12 people. That’s just not accurate. I had two other couples planning on staying with us and splitting the cost but when we found out it was a couch bed with a quarter inch thick mattress and two children’s beds, In the other two rooms, we quickly realized that it was not going to be split between four couples. instead, it doubled my cost. I just want some accuracy of these dang listings. I get you’re selling a listing, and you wanted to look nice, but dammit be honest. House should be great for two couples and a whole bunch of kids, but no more than four adults can stay comfortably in this house.

Michael, our listing states that we can accommodate 9 guests, 2 queen beds, 3 twin beds and a queen sofa sleeper. Not only is it mentioned in the listing the size of all beds, we repeatedly encourage our guest before and during their reservation to reach out if they have any questions. I'm sorry that you were unable to split the cost of your stay four ways, but reading the listing or asking a quick question could have allowed me the opportunity to clarify the sleeping arrangements beyond the the listing description. This is the first I've heard of four couples in your reservation, I would have mentioned the three twin beds had I know you had eight adults. Communication is key, It's unfortunate you didn't enjoy your stay.

Great Stay in Ottawa

Roomy and well equipped
Publié le 3 mai 2023 sur HomeAwayThe house is in a nice location convenient to downtown Ottawa. Plenty of room to spread out. The cute kitchen had all the utensils/appliances we needed. The chickens in the back were great fun, and we took advantage of the delicious fresh eggs!
One thing to be aware of, if you have motility issues: the steps into the living room are very steep! But overall things were great and we recommend a stay here!
