At first glance, this neat little two bedroom ranch style home, looked like it would fit our needs perfectly. We stayed two nights. During the first night, I woke from a sound sleep by a disgusting, putrid smell that was permeating from somewhere in the bedroom. It was dark in the room, and I could not identify the smell immediately.I went back and laid in bed. In the darkness, the smell was turning my stomach. I picked up my pillow and started smelling the pillowcase to see if that could possibly be the source. I positioned the pillow to a different part and inhaled deeply. I immediately started gagging. I went to the bathroom and I threw up. We turned on the lights, stripped back the pillowcase and found yellow stains on the pillow and hard crusty yellow areas as well. I went in the closet to look for another pillow and there was a stained pillow in the closet as well. I picked up another pillow from the bedroom and stripped back the pillowcase and it had yellow stains also. I continued gagging throughout the next day at the thought of what I had been exposed to. I contacted the owner and she apologized and said that she would have the cleaning people drop off pillows.I was assured of a one-day refund plus the $105 cleaning fee. All she has done since November 11 is side step me while giving me phony excuses about no refund. I am now in contact with VRBO. To add insult to injury;after we left the property she insinuated that we took toilet paper from her garage.

Place very clean and nice. In a nice neighborhood and town. Only concern, curtains are all very "see through". No privacy at all.

Many issues

This property has several major issues that made our stay unpleasant. The owner is responsive, yet did nothing to resolve our issues during our visit. First, as seen in other reviews, the curtains allow for no privacy in the home. Also, a curtain rod in the kitchen was installed incorrectly and fell while we were there. The biggest issue with the home is a very apparent gas leak in the laundry room. My son was able to turn the gas off, but when we notified the owner; they took no steps to fix the issue. Other problems include kitchen sink stuck in shower mode (you'll get wet using it), very minimal kitchen items to use while cooking/storing food, towels smelling like mildew, and many other small things that make this place not ready to rent. Overall the property is clean, however I would recommend looking elsewhere for the time being.

Suzanne - Right from the start you were a unhappy about our sheer curtains in the kitchen. We apologized for that but did not think it would be necessary to come in and replace the curtains when others didn’t have any issues with them in the common areas. You mentioned a smell from the dryer so I said we would get maintenance out there right away and you told me not to due to your toddler having a specific sleeping schedule. You said it was fine for the night as your son has turned it off. We tried to take initiative many times and you refused. Instead you decided to leave a day early and insisted we give you a full refund for the last 2 days of your stay. This was our first disappointing experience with renting our property here on VRBO and it was very unfortunate the way you treated us here when we did our best to take care of the issues you brought to our attention.

Had a nice stay!

We stayed for a week. The house was in a very nice neighborhood. There was just 2 of us. The only thing we had a problem with was the curtains we're see through and no blinds on the bedroom windows. The kitchen needs some mixing bowls, strainer, dish cloth, dish towels and other things. We had to go out and buy them. We didn't want to go out much and we prefer to fix our own meals. We had a problem with the dryer but it was fixed as soon as someone could make it out. The communication with the owner was spot-on. She would get back to us as soon as possible.

Quaint Neighborhood

This property is just on the edge of town in a very quiet neighborhood. The host was easy to communicate with and accommodating. This seems like a relatively new rental so there were a few kinks that would probably be ironed out with a few more guest stays.
